Kate's "The Works" special
skinnyjeans replied to general_antiope's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
10 days woohoo. It's so close. I'm super excited for you. From my experience definitely take extra stool softners. I was taking them but should have doubled up. I'm sure you will do fine in surgery. Be sure and keep your Protein up now and after. Take extra Vit C too. -
Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
skinnyjeans replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Can't belive it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since PS. It has gone by fast. I didnt' get all the reading or Rosetta stone (Italian-taking Meditterain cruise in JUly 2010) done that I had planned. I'm feeling better and better each day. Today went to movie with son and then grocery store for a few items. Family will be here tonight. Swelling is going down, just slowly. Scars are healing nicely. The bump on right side though did puss/bleed a little yesterday. I'm still washing with hibiclens so it will kill bacteria. Breasts hurt when they are cold. I guess this will happen for a while. Nipples are super sensitive. DH wants to know when he can try out the new bod. I told him no exercise for 10 weeks. He frowned. didn't like that answer. I forgot to ask the PS. Anybody know? HAPPY THANKSGIVING lapband friends. Thank you for your support and prayers. -

Allie, take it easy. I'm glad your husband was there for your shower. I used a chair for first 10 days. I know what you mean about the meds and nightmares. I actually read my prescription wrong and was taking more than should be for a day. Oops. Bathroom was bad for me. Meds made me real constipated. I was even taking stool softeners and drinking Fiber. Hope you can get your garments off. Sorry drains wont' be coming out. No fun. Have a good relaxing day. -
I had the bodybugg about a year before getting the display. The display is really nice though and if you can afford I would splurge for it. I waited for it to go on sale $79 which i think that's what it's going for now before getting it. I noticed with my display I pushed myself hard during the actual workout because I could see what I was burning. Love my bodybugg and display.

Thanks Allie, I can't wait to see your pictures. Yep only 1 drain for me. My Dr. uses a different suture method and only keeps drain in 1 week. I'm so glad was on side. I hope you get yours out Wed. I didn't have the wedge pillow. Debated about buying one but didn't. I'll probably post week 2 pics friday sometime. take care -

Allie, Sorry to hear about the UTI. Glad it's getting better. Keep healing and resting. Your surgery pic you are so tiny. You've been in my prayers. Can't wait to see more pics. I'm still pretty swollen but flat. Not sure what i'll have to wear to work next week if swelling doesn't go down more this week. -

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
skinnyjeans replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thank you Mimi, Yesterday was good day. Felt tired around 5 and took nap until 7. I might have ran a slight fever last night because woke up sweating. My sister called yesterday and said they would be coming down for Thanksgiving. I'm so excited! There was a little spot on incision that had some bleeding yesterday (not much). Not sure if I stretched it too much by trying to stand more upright. Was able to take a shower standing up and pretty much can get around by myself now without help from others. It just takes me time. Walking pretty slow still. Sue, Your results are amazing. You look wonderful. What an inspiration you are for others. -

Thank you Mimi. I just can't wait for all swelling go down to really see end result. I know it takes time. UGH. Slept really well last night. Parents are gone, house back to quiet. My mom is really loud compared to me. I have sweet quiet voice and she's loud and overpowering. gotta love her though. Today, think I'm up to reading a good book and just relaxing. -

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

Had my 1 week followup with Dr. today. He said everything is healing perfect. drain is out. YAY! It didn't even hurt when he removed it. I was breathing and bracing myself for pain because I remember years ago when had breast reduction when they removed drains it hurt like crazy. Belly button did ooze some this morning after shower. he said this is normal and watch it. Bump of skin on right side he said will smooth out over time. Swelling .... Well just will take time. up to 8 months for total swelling to subside. Mom made me laugh. She can't belive how much flatter tummy is even with all the swelling. Hubby took 1 week pics and will load them now on MMH. Even went shopping with mom for around 3 hours today. Took several breaks to just sit while trying on clothes/ shoe shopping. Only took tylenol and feeling really great. Almost able to stand completely upright. Feel most of the pulling in groin area. -

Mimilou, I will say I really like the boobies. There were so many cute clothes this year I couldn't buy because didn't have enough fullness on top. I'm glad I went for the impants. It wasn't a priority for me. I didn't want be bigger than C but because I had extra skin needed bigger implant to fill out. I'm so excited for your journey to start. Can't wait to follow your progress. I'm glad you a have a good friend to help you out. -
