It's Allie's turn for plastics!

funny about the belly button. My husband has a big one that always has lint in it. It's not deep just big. My new one is very small. It's like a slit. not round. I don;t really like it but oh well. The price for a flat tummy. I started the mederma again so hopefully it will work. It does feel itchy though when I use it. Does your skin peel when you use? Glad you are getting some feeling back in nips. 6 days.. WOW, so excited for you and the thigh lift. -

Glad you are finally able to rest. Sometimes we do just have to move on with life and get back to our routine. Glad you are feeling more like yourself. You are a strong woman. Be proud of your accomplishments. I haven't worn an underwire bra yet. My Dr. said 3 months in sports bra. I go back Monday for another follow-up. Can't belive it will be 10 weeks, than I get to start exercising again. I have days still where I will swell up tremendously. Had movie popcorn Sunday and the swelling from that was horrible. By the end of the day I feel so swollen that my skin feels like it's stretching. I have a desk job too and work for hours before getting up and everytime I get up I feel this strething feeling. I'm sure you dont look pregnant. You're just being hard on yourself. I haven't been making wise food choices either. Debating another fill. I really want to take off 15 lbs before June. I'm glad things are looking up for you. -

Sorry about your setbacks. glad you like the bum. I really needed to do something for mine but must live with a flat one. I can't imagine wearing an underwire already. My right side boob is still very tender underneath. What kind of bra are you sleeping in? I started using the mederma again but haven't noticed anything yet. It still makes me a little itchy too. I think I agree with your surgeon it's the massaging that helps the scar tissue. -

Kate, Haven't heard from you in awhile. How are you feeling? Has the itching stopped any so you can sleep? Thinking about you. -
Do you have to be at goal before consult with the PS?
skinnyjeans replied to tcbgirl's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I wasnt' at goal weight when I had consult or procedure. I'm 5'2 also and weighed 221 at heaviest. I carried all my weight in mid section. Like Mimi said having consult before will help motivate you to loose. I had been at same weight for a year so was pretty stable but not at goal. Decided I was ready to be rid of my gut. Good Luck, -
Hi Barbee, I remember following your earlier thread. I'm happy you have another date set. Sending postive thoughts your way. You are well prepared. I hope all goes well for you and your hemoglobin is where it needs to be.

My wife's having lapband Friday

Chase, My wife asked me to respond to your post. I understand how you feel. My wife is also my bestfriend and knowing that something could happen to her makes me uneasy. We are to protect them. Stay by her side. We went together to the initial question and answer. My wife did LOTS of research. I knew she had found the right Dr to do the job. I would like to share one short story before ours. She had a friend that did the procedure afterward and could not ever seem to loose weight. We went out with her and her husband only to see him order all this food. I was thinking, "WOW, how could anyone say no?", and she didn't. I had to change things as well. I had to change the things I eat. I am not overweight , although I do have the mid-life belly. There are time I have to remind her that she has had enough. Old habits are hard to break. We all need reminders. Many times when we go out to eat we will share. This puts both of us in better portions. There have been times during intercourse that things are uncomfortable for her because I am on her port, LOL, just readjust and go on. You'll learn to communicate that out. Remind her to eat S-L-O-W. Chew everything well. She will learn this as well. Stop the sodas. We were fortunate that we never really drank a lot of those. Hmm, That's all I can think of right now. It was given to me unexpected. If you have any questions, just ask skinny jeans and I will be glad to answer. Number one thing, Keep supporting her, love her more (even though there is less to love), and remind her. Skinny Jeans Husband -
For me if I swollow too fast I hiccup. If I eat slow and are almost done and get hiccup it's my stop point.

New pics look great. Healing nicely. I stopped using the mederma, it was making my skin peel/itchy. I might try again later. Maybe scar was too new. Glad the knitting is helping you with food cravings. -

skinnyjeans replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I gained 6. But already lost 3. I have to watch food intake carefully too but I sure enjoyed the pleasure. I'm back to journaling everything I eat. It is hard not being able to exercise. It's still uncomfortable to stretch real big and have a hard time seeing how I could exercise still. I know I can walk (boring), I'm a aerobic class type of gal. Have a blessed day! -

Happy New Year Kate! The scar pics look very good. They are healing nicely. HOpe the magnesium helps you. Foot cramps are the worse. I stay cold all the time too. I don't get leg cramps as often as I used to, but they seem to come on during that time of month. Have a wonderful day! -

Congratulations Auntie... I hope you get feeling back in nipples. Mine can be super sensitive sometimes. Shower water sometimes hurts if it hits just right. Things will start feeling better in few weeks. -

Hi Kate! It still takes me a little while to stretch back out after sitting hunched too. I feel the same way. Each day IS better. I'm seeing less swelling so that is nice. When you say stitches popping, I guess that is good? I didn't have any outside stitches on TT incision. Only around BB and a few on boobs. I really hope you can get some sleep. Are you still taking any pain meds? What about tylenol PM. will that help? I still have yet to sleep on side. -

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
skinnyjeans replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Merry Christmas! We started the drive Christmas eve around 1pm to see our family and it was an experience. Texas got some of the blizzard weather here. The trip is normally 6 hours, so 27 hours later we made it. I have never been stuck in traffic like this before. Not moving for hours, sleeping on/off in the car, not having food to eat. When we left we didn't think the weather was that bad. Bad weather was due to be over by 6pm. We're from Amarillo, which gets snow, so we thought we know how to drive in this. No biggie.. We'll the 1,000's of other people don't know how to drive. I've never seen so many wrecks and stranded cars. I wondered, where did all those people go? We finally heard the National Guard came and made them leave their car and take them to shelters. Thank goodness. So thankful for answered prayers to get to make it home to see family for Christmas. I hope all of you had a blessed one! -

Yay Kate! Glad the drains are out and all is healing well. I've always wondered if I ever come out of anesthesia doing strange things? Funny. Glad you can resume you nightly baths. Rest well. Tiff -
