I everyone I was banded yesterday morning and I am so sore today, I'm like a 9 on the pain scale, with it being minimally abrasive I didn't think It wound hurt this bad! I was thinking about. Heating pad? How long does this pain last???

I am 5'3" and 199 size 14, my goal weight is 135 according to bmi that would be healthy.

Thank you everyone so much! I think I will take my medicine every 4 hours instead of 6 and try to walk more. The gas pain really isn't that bad but I can't take a Deep breath which makes it hard to manage the pain. And that beautiful baby is my goddaughter she lives in another state so I won't be lifting her lol Thank u again for the responses, I'll keep everyone posted!

Hi may bandsters! For those of u who had surgery yesterday how are u feeling? I am in a lot of pain like an 8 on the pain scale. I was thinking about putting a heating pad on it? Thoughts?

Omg if I hear one more person say to me your face is pretty... If you just lost some weight... Ugh so rude! It's a backhanded compliment for sure!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to have found this app! The info on here is great! I am 25 yrs old, have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember and I'm excited to be making a change! My surgery is scheduled may 4th so about 3 weeks away. I had a couple questions though: 1). How do you avoid this painful burping I keep hearing about? Us it from the food you eat or how fast you eat? 2) do I really have to give up drinking from a straw? Putting my mouth in a cup kinda grosses me out 3). I have heard about how people gain back the weight, but don't understand how that happens? I thought the band was supposed to restrict u from eating too much? If you start to gain you would need to get another fill to fix that right? Thanks for your help! Looking forward to the journey
