Hi Sue! Missed you tonite. Had a really sweet mom and daughter join us. Mom just had lap band. Daughter had a bypass 6 years ago. Fab folks! I cut out a dress today! I have fabric from London I've been saving for like 8 years and decided this was a great way to celebrate. Hopefully I'll have it done soon!!!!!!! Hi all! Haven't posted for a while, but HAD to today! I just hit my goal of 145 pounds!!!!! YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!!!! I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale. I've been hovering at 147 for a few weeks and just figured that was IT!......Well, NOT!!!! I hope this encourages everyone! YOU WILL GET THERE!!!! KEEP on going! Never give up!!!! I mean it! She is doing a study of Weight Loss Surgery patients and the experiences we go through for her Doctoral Dissertation. She plans on treating bariatric patients exclusively, and wants to help us in whatever way she can. Hey Sue! So glad you're back! Missed you! Give yourself a little grace, princess......you're still doing fabulously and you will get back on track. This is LIFE. EVERYBODY eats bad away from home. Even naturally skinny people. You will NOT gain it all back. i promise! We have the solution for life!!!!! Thank GOD! AND, by the way, you look AWESOME! I really do feel fine. I was out and about with Dave today....took in a movie....went to Target with Becca. There doesn't seem to be any physical injury. The car, however, is probably going to be totaled (Dave thinks). It's pretty messed up. Oh well. Didn't really like his car....not sporty enough. I ITCH like crazy. Can't sleep tonite! The whole darn incision is itchy...PLUS my upper stomach. Very cute. NOT! It really looks good, though! All the stitches are internal, so there is just a thin line. I'm pretty happy about that. Still some swelling, which is to be expected. OK here's the deal. I bought size 8 pants the other day and now I think they are TOO BIG. Stroking out, here. I WAS going to ask my husband for a felting maching for my birthday and mothers day....BUT! Now I'm thinking of asking for some botox and filler for my face .....am I getting awfully vain? Merrillee

Hey Sue! Super about the seat sizes and your burgeoning energy! YIPPEE for you! Me.....well, some little old lady T-Boned me in Dave's car this afternoon. OMYGOSH! Just driving into our neighborhood and she comes tearing out of a side street and, BOOM! I don't think anything's messed up surgery-wise...maybe a little swelling?....but I'm kind of a little shocky. Dave was a doll....HIS car....oh man. I don't think I want to drive for a while..... Mer

Hey Dawn, I feel pretty good. Takes me an hour to get a sponge bath and wash my hair, etc.....then I'm pretty tired. Just taking it slow....but not too slow! It looks better everyday. Swelling will take a while, but it really looks good. Can't wait to see everyone on the 21st! Mer

4MeOnly! Thank you sooo much for the input! I actually have been on laxatives since day one. Glad I did, too....not going to elaborate....LOL Only on tylenol today, which is good. Can't wait to get rid of these drains on Monday. getting bored with TV. I could use a nice sit-own craft. Might have to send my daughter out to find me a crosstitch or something. Too warm to knit.... Hey Girlfriends! Thanks so much for the prayer and support. Please keep it going! So far everything is looking good. Hurts like crazy, but I'm feeling pretty good. Resting comfortably. Rachel came over today and helped me change my bandages and put on a clean compression garment. I got to have a peek! It looks really good....NO MORE hangy stuff. Wendy! YIPPEEE! Hi DAwn! Yah, about the year thing.....that's nuts. I REALLY think it's so us "fatties" can "prove" that we're not going back to eating our faces off.....we can't be trusted, you know.....LOL ARGH! As for the poundage coming off with the TT.....Dr. Foley thinks I have a good 10 pounds of stuff coming off. I'm just about to 160, so that will put me around 150. YIPPEE! I haven't weighed that since my 25 year old daughter was a baby! And, really, that's going to be about it for me.....maybe 5 more? We'll see...... Merrillee ps. How's your back?
