Will the hospital give me one or will I have to purchase this? My surgery is tomorrow.

I am right there with you!! Tomorrow is my day and I am nervous! I am at work drinking my liquids and trying to keep busy but it is not working. surprisingly I am not even hungry since I am only drinking liquids and no Protein but I think it is because i am nervous. I wish you the best of luck!

The team told me to use Colace and MiraLax. I have taken Colace now while I can still swallow pills but after surgery I will use the MiraLax. I ended up having to use a suppository because it was just terrible. Hopefully the worst is behind me no pun intended :-) One more day until surgery!!!

This has been an interesting journey, from initial hunger to anger to acceptance to HORRIBLE constipation. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. i am nervous but ready!

I am doing two shakes per day and only liquids, broth and Popsicles. I am on day 8 of the pre-op and the first couple of days I was hungry but I think it was just adjusting my mind that i don't need to chew to be full. Now I don't feel hungry but I do miss eating. I am dealing with constipation from the Protein shakes!!! There is always something!!!

I am on my liquid diet before surgery. I ate a grilled chicken salad yesterday and today I ate stir fry broccoli and snow peas. Surgery date 7/20. I just needed to chew and to make things worse I haven't pooped in 5 days!!! Sent from my SM-T350 using the BariatricPal App

I made Zucchini spaghetti for my husband last night since i am on the liquids and he said it was good. So I will have that once I am allowed. I am trying to get him used to eating what I can eat so I don't have to make two separate meals. He already likes Tofu (which I do not) so it should not be that hard I hope!

I sympathies with you, you need support not someone who is going to do this to you. My husband is extremely supportive and I am on my two week liquid diet as well (Day 6) and he eats in another room and even when he forgets he says oh I am sorry I will put this away. If he can't get on board with your new life then I am afraid that you have to start a new life without him. I have been married for 20 years and if my husband said what he said to you I would have packed his bags and sent him on his way! I know it is easy for us to say because we are not in your position but believe me your life is at stake!

Does anyone feel dizzy on the liquid diet? I had not felt this way until today and it is day 6 for me. I had my Protein shake this morning drank 32oz of Water so far and have had some broth. Strange.
