i was a HUGE IiiiiiiI was a Huge drinker with eating, but I learned not to drink with my meals before I had surgery, per my doctor. and even now a year after surgery I pour myself a glass , but never drink it till 30 mins after I eat.

I got a fill yesterday so I now have 9cc's in my band and yesterday and today after the fill, i'm feeling gasy and bloated and I feel some pain in my port area. I have never feet like this before. I am able to get food water so I know its not to tight. has anyone ever felt like this after a fill?

my daily calorie intake is about 1630 to 1650, but my dr and dietician tell me that i should would about that too much and eat at between 25 to 30 grams of protein at each meal

i am 6 months post op and since the surgery i have lost 35 lbs. I just went to both my dr and my nutrition yesterday and they both said that that much weight lose post op at this stage is very GOOD, so your doing great.i also got my third fill yeterday so i now have 7cc's in a 10 cc band. and let me tell you i am def eating less then i was .

i am having a issue when i eat. most of the time the last couple of days right after i eat I am having really bad gas pains, and the port area is hurting. Noqw am worried that something really bad has happened.Has anyone elese had a problem like this i was banded almost 6 months ago.

hello march banders just wanted to share some news i was banded on March 21, and yesterday i went to see my surgeon and I was down 5 lbs from lat month, making my total weight lose from surgery 26 lbs and i am down 47 lbs from when i started my journey. and my dr said that i didnt not need a fill yesterday but i can call when i think i need one. so right now i have 5cc's in a 10cc band . and I'm very Happy

dont feel to Bad I just went on vac and came back and had gained 5lbs, but last monday i refoucused and started to track my food again and the scale is going down. We just have to stay postive and focused, and it will all work out.

I THINK EVERYONE HAS ALL OF THOSE THOUGHTS. I KNOW I DID.I WAS BANDED ON 3/21/12. SINCE THE SURGERY I AM DOWN 24 LBS., AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I ONLY WISH I HAD THE SURGERY SOONER. I THINK THE ONLY 2 TIMES I HAVE EVER QUESTIONED MY DECISION TO HAVE SURGERY WAS DAY 3 WHEN I STILL VERY BLOATED AND FILL OF GAS, AND THE FIRST TIME I HAD A FILL AND MY DR HAD A HARD TIME FINDING THE PORT BECAUSE ITS IN SOOO DEEP. AND ALL YOU HAVE TO KEEP TELLING YOUR SELF IS THAT YOU CAN DO THIS AND I FIND THAT GOING ON THESE BOARDS AND SEE THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE GOING THRU OR HAVE BEEN THRU WHAT YO GOING THRU HELPS ALOT!

i just went for my seconf fill yesterday and i got 3cc's so i now have a total of 4ccs in my band, and this morning i can tell that i'm going to have to slow down my eating and really chew my food.

i was banded on 3/21/12 and post ope i have lost only 25 lbs, and my dietician and dr dont have me counting calories they have me eating between 20-25 grams of protein at every meal.i find it much easier to count proteins then calories.and i find that i stay fullier much longer

so after much today i Got my first fill yesterday, although i had to get the fill by my dr doing in with a xray,but i went well, i got 2ccs yesterday, he said that most people get that their first fill. I was only allowed to eat post operation diet untill this evening, so i dont know if i will feel fullier fast or if i will have any restrictions. I will get you informed.

that was my concern tooo . i went for my first fill on monday the 21 and the dr could not find the middle of the port to fil it, so i have to go next week to have a Fluoroscopy band fill, that will show where the middle of the port is, the dr said it very rare that they cant find port , you will do Fine and if they cant worst come to worse you have to to have the same thing i'm having not a Big Deal

so today i went for my first fill today. i was banded to march 21. when i went today i was down 3 lbs so soo far after the surgery i am down 23 lbs. i am down a total of 38lbs since I started this journey.i have felt No restrictions, so today i meant with my surgeon and was going to get my first fill, but my surgeon tried to find the middle of my port and he could not and he must have tried and poked me 6 times with that needle and it hurt while he is in there poking around. needless to say he could not get me my fill because the port is tooo deep and could find the middle of the port to fill so now next week i have to and have a fluoroscopy band fill. I am not Happy, i have no idea how this is going to work next week and after todays happenings i nervous.my surgeon says that after the get a xray and lose more weight fills will get better. my port hurts bad from the dr today and its getting black and blue and i feel like i just had surgery. has anyone ever had this Fluoroscopy band fill? if anyone can help please do because i Freaking out about this. I hoping nothing is wrong.

i took 2 weeks and three days off after my surgery, and i have a desk job. My dr said i could not lift anything over 5 to 10 lbs. But i found that the first week back i got tried in the afternoon.

did either of you have trouble with security?? i have to fly in july and i am getting kinda freaking out. My monm got a card that said she was banded i went to a different Dr. for my surgery and i didnt get one.

i was banded on march 21 and have not had my first fill yet. i will on May 21. does the needle hurt that badly??? and right i don't have any restrictions.is it common to have alot of them after a fill

i HAVE PAIN AROUND THE PORT ON DAYS AT ITS COLD. I STILL SOMETIMES CAN'T SLEEP ON MY RIGHT SIDE WHERE THE PORT IS

You are completly right, my journey soo far as also been Full of Surprises.Thank Good for Family and Good Friends, I thought people might feel that i was taking the easy way out by having surgery, but everyone i told as given me nothing but Love and Support. And i have to tell you that my youngest nephew who is 6 said to me the other night as he was getting ready for bed said Aunt Danielle your getting Smaller. I gave him a Big Hug and almost Cried.
