    Hello Everyone...

The preop diet isn't any fun, but not hard. It's truly what you make of it. I think the preop diet does a great job setting you up for what life with the band will be like in the beginning. By the time it's all over I will have been on a liquid diet for 5 weeks.
  2. Hi guys I'm Kat, and I was banded on 10/17 in Houston. I've been a member of this forum for about 6months, but only started posting recently. I love all the inspiration and help I get here! These are my stats so far: I'm 27yrs old, 5ft 6 with a pre surgery weight of 229. I lost 11lbs during my pre-op diet, and as of today am at 201.4! So excited to share my journey with everyone

    Any One Else Feel Dizzy?

No history of hypertension or diabetes. I do take a few medications though... May need to call my dr. Thanks
  4. Hey everyone! I'm 6 days post op, and starting to feel human again. My incision sites are pain free, port site Minimal pain, minimal nausea, and not very hungry. I am however feeling very dizzy, the worst is if I have been laying down on couch and get up to walk around. Any body else have this dizziness? Any thing I should be doing to prevent or minimize it? Thanks in advance Kat
  5. I have one week of clears, 1 week of thicker liquids, one week puréed/ mushy, and by week 4 normal food again
  6. Yes, still on clears. But my surgeon took away dairy until week 4 postop. I'm guessing its because of fat and calories, I just wanted other opinions as to why.
  7. Ok so I'm 4 days post-op (banded 10/17), and following everything religiously. The one thing that is bugging me is that I am not allowed milk of any kind according to my Dr.'s post-op instructions. Any idea the reasoning behind this? I get the whole sugar free thing, but not this... Thanks! Kat
