I bought a row machine at a garage sale and I was wondering if I used that for at least 30 minutes a day would that be a good workout? Do you think it's as good as walking? I'm trying to change up my exercise routine

I did have a weird craving after surgery and it was for beef tamales... I'm on the soft diet stage but I don't know if I can even eat them

I'm 23 and got banded almost a month ago... I have lost 24lbs and this was the best decision I ever made!!!! Good luck

I do not get my first fill until august 6th. I'm only eating 1/2 cup of food right now. I get so hungry right after I eat and so I don't know what to do until my next meal. How can I reduce the hunger pangs???

Mine may sound silly but I want to get my nose pierced... I've been wanting it for a log time

I was banded 6/28 and now that I am feeling better I am always thinking about what exercise I am going to do when I get home from work. I have never been the one to jump on the treadmill or ride my bike, but now I am starting to like it and fitting it into my daily routine

I too am a side and stomach sleeper. I have not dared tried laying on my stomach but I can sleep on my non port side ( my right side) if I have a pillow tucked up to me.

last year when I was just so miserable with myself. It was a slow journey but I finally got here. Also, when you wake up from just having knee surgery and your Orthopedic surgeon tells you, you need to loose weight... it hit me hard so that's when I revved up my engine and got things going with the doctor.

The day I went in for surgery the nurse was like did you know you had a UTI... I said no!!!! they put me on a bag of antibiotics and sent me home with a prescription antibiotic to finish!!

I don't think I was ever told how many calories a day I am supposed to be eating. Right now I am eating my 1/2 cup portions and then I move up to a cup per meal...
So should I worry about calories right now since I'm eating so little. Or do I need to count them now and stay under a certain number like 600, 800, 500 calories a day??
I guess I should call my doctor to find out or just keep going with the flow!!!
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!! :wub:

walk, walk, walk!!!!! it was a lifesaver for me. There were times I was up walking at 3am, but it truly does help. Hang in there!!!!!! -

I first want to thank everyone for all the support and love you show on here. I was banded 6/28 and I have leaned on this site SO much! I will be starting my puree phase on Thursday and I was wondering if these foods sound ok to eat then:
* mashed potatoes, baked potatoes
* mashed cooked carrots
* tuna fish
* green Beans
I know I am supposed to puree my food but I can't do it, I cannot handle drinking my tuna so if I stick to these foods will I be ok??? or this considered cheating? I don't want to hurt myself, so that is why I am sticking to these soft foods!

I am now at the point after surgery where the pain is very minimal and I can start doing some sort of exercise... I just don't know what to do??? I have been walking but to me that is soooo boring. I need something fun and enjoyable!!!
Any tips or workout routine would be helpful!!!!!!

I didn't purée either. Stuck with tuna and cottage cheese' date=' string cheese, yogurt and Jello. Still using Protein shakes here and there. Fortunately My Dr is fine about it.[/quote']So eating tuna and string cheese would be ok? That makes me excited!!! I just need to take small bites and chew right?

Hi everyone! I am about to be on this stage in my journey and I'm getting nervous. When you were at this point did you really puree your chicken to eat it? or maybe an orange? I'm so scared it's going to be like baby food ( ok thats pretty much what its going to be) but I don't know if I will be able to eat pureed chicken or ham...
What did you eat? How did you get through this stage???
Can You Give Any Advice?
