I am 34 yrs old and have a beautiful 5 year old daughter as well as a wonderfully supportive husband who was by my side thru every part of this experience. Like so many others I have struggled with my weight all of my adult life. I remember hitting the 200 lb. mark at age 19. I lost a few lbs only to gain it back plus much more. Yoyo dieting....gaining, losing, then gaining even more has been my way of life since way back then. I ended up at 270lbs when i started checking into sleeve surgery earlier this year. After much reading about it and knew this was the answer I was looking for to change my life. I knew insurance wasn't an option at the time so I took out a personal loan to pay for my surgery and after a ton of research decided on Dr. Garcia. I have my sleeve surgery May 28, 2012. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am down 49 lbs and half way to my goal at 10 weeks out. I feel like a new person. I cannot wait to see where this journey will end!!
