    Canadian Gym Bans Skinny People

I understand your position completely and don't take it as an insult at all. Everyone is entitled to their believes and opinions! Of course, my view was very jaded in this topic. But, their are people out their who state the very same reasons why I won't go back to this gym. I wouldn't have minded the staring, but this woman was a staff person doing the staring. So for me personally, I then knew that this wasn't the place for me. More power to the people if that is the type of gym/business they want to start....if that's the clientele they want to cater to and there is a need to be filled, I don't see a problem with it. I am sure there more gyms in the area where everybody else can go! Would I go there?? Probably not because I enjoy workin out with my husband, but I personally would choose another place because of their policy..I don't think I would point a finger and say stop discriminating against my hubby. Maybe I am more a capitalist in that respect..they found a need and filled it. JMHO!

    Canadian Gym Bans Skinny People

Ok I am going to play devil's advocate here. I used to go to a local gym that will remain nameless. It was a popular atop in town full of all kinda of people. My hubby and I got a membership so I could attempt to lose weight (this was a couple of years ago). So Iet with a trainer ..and started with wind sprints on the treadmill and I can run for a big gal..and it isn't pretty but It can be done.. So toile a long story shorter ..one of the staff was staring at me..so I shot her a dirty look and so she turned her back to me and started staring at me in the mirror like I couldn't tell what she was doing with her back me..hello ..I am not blind..I can see your face in the mirror! So I was so embarrassed and felt so sad I never went back. I now go to a gym that caters to the "older" clientele..I am not bothered there and the staff is great and my trainer is great. I think it's all in where you feel comfortable. So for me, I understand and personally experienced why this gym was made. Do I think it will be successful? I don't know..maybe..maybe not..but if it gets people moving who wouldn't otherwise..I guess it would be worth a try!

    Diabetes

I was pre-diabetic and my A1C was 6.5 and the doctor was rolling around the idea of metformin for me and thought it might help me with weight loss. Since my surgery on April 3, my A1C is 5.5. So my pre-diabetes has reversed. As someone else mentioned, my dr stated most cases of diabetes reverse because there are several hormones that are released by the stomach that research think are responsible/play a role in the development of diabetes. The sleeve isn't a 100% guarantee your disease state will be reversed, but it should certainly drastically improved if it doesn't. As far as statistics go and what I have read, RnY and sleeve are about the same in regards to diabetes reversal or improvement. In my case, it was reversed. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I choose the sleeve because of lower risks of malabsorption issues and the possibility of diabetes reversal!
  7. Ok I am having a panic attack and for really no good reason...I really want to lose this excessive weight..so I was rereading my packet on diet ext..and saw ( and I already knew this so it's not like I didn't know already) statistically with the sleeve you loss 50-60% of your excessive weight..well I calculated it and I want more than that number on the calculator! I am proud of 53# weight loss in 10 weeks, so I don't feel I a failure...BUT that number on the calculator scared me. I know..obsessive...but I am working so hard..I want this to work..so anybody havin panic attacks that are completely off the wall?? Or is this just the normal fear and progression ..sipped bump go over slowly and get on with it stuff??

    Help Chaffing

I love Caldesene Baby Powder. Corn starch powders never worked for me and this was the only powder to keep my skin from rubbing together and stave off wetness and odors. It wont rub off like some powders do because It has zinc oxide in it as well. It is amazing stuff..I hope you try it..I think you will love it! I use it every day!! I never have a problem with rubbing anymore! Well and fifty pounds gone never hurts either! Here's a picture! It's sold in Walmart in my area in the baby section

    Vitamins/supplements

You should Wait to start you calci at least 2 hours after your multivitamin with iron otherwise te calcium with bind with the iron and then it's useless to the body. Also, you should take calcium then wait 2 hours for the next dosage. My schedule is 8 am for the multivitamin. Then at 10:30 am I start my calcium dosage and wait 2 hours for each consecutive dose. As far as your meds having a drug interaction .. Ask your pharmacist..they will know!
