You know..she is downright mean and evil..but I don't think she knows she is being that way..and it doesn't just include me..she doles it around...which is why I think she has a mental or social disorder..anyway..off the soap box again..

Honestly.. I think she may have a social disorder. Some of the things she says is so hurtful and harmful that I am not sure she understand just how extensive the comments are! It's a shame. I have told her where to look and how to research WLS. I doubt she will because she isn't ready to make the necessary changes. Maybe she will research it, but I doubt it. I am sorry some people feel sorry for this woman, but she almost ruined my marriage so I don't have much compassion at all for her. JMHO.

Seriously??? You need to find another job! These people don't give a rip about you and apparently they showed their big asses! Or you could stay and let them all be green with envy because you are taking control of your life!

Yea..she is a real piece of work Spatters3. And it is sad! She is alienating her son and using me as a weapon to do it. BUT... if not this..then it would be some other family member and with some other issue. She has multiple health issues as well. I am glad someone feels compassion for her because most of her family doesn't. She needs someone too. I did tell her to look into it.. Honestly though I doubt she will. But she may surprise us all and do it! We shall see!

Good luck to you both!!! One way I wt my fluid requirements was to suck on sugar free popsicles ..I melted one in the microwave an measured the fluid to see how much was in 1 popsicle. So then I knew how many popsicles would make a cup of fluids! I'll be thinking of you both!

Hang in there! My time in the hospital was hellish..but once I got home ..I felt better! I hope your itching gets better too..that is an awful feeling!!!!!

Oh Good Luck! I remember my surgery day..I was nervous too..make sure you have all your allowed foods ready to go when you get home..protein shakes, crystal light..all that stuff! I pray you do well! Just know you are making a decision that will change your life forever and definitely for the betterment of you and your health!

Well I thought I was smaller until I saw a picture of myself from behind and saw a shelf where my butt was supposed to be! That's when I knew I had to do something. Now when I feel like nothing is moving on the scale..I pull out my tape measure and pictures and confirm progress..I hate looking at that pre-op picture but it is the truth staring me in the face..so get out that tape measure and old pictures..you'll see a huge difference and know you are doing great!!

My experience with waking up was hellish. I had the worse nausea of my entire life and it was very intense for the first 48 hours. I literally told my husband that if the nausea didn't subside I wanted to die and thought what the hell have I done?? I was on a scopolamine patch and had phenergan and Zofran administered every 2 hours once I woke up in rotating dosages. You may have the smelliest diarrhea you have ever had and in turn that may add to your nausea. It did mine. I also become lactose intolerant immediately after surgery..so be prepared for screaming diarrhea if you are! BUT ..at the 72 hour marker, the nausea got better and I turned a corner, and I am still lactose intolerant but not to the severe point I was. I went back to work within a week and developed a hematoma, so if you can..ask for help at least 3-4 weeks out from surgery. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, so for me it was bearable until I had the hematoma..that was intense..so I didn't stop hurting until I was 8 weeks out. Now with all that said, everyone's personally journey is different. I hear of people not having a lick of problems after surgery. My journey had a few setbacks. Would I do it again with what I know and have experienced now?? You bet! I was sleeved 4/3 and I am now no longer prediabetic, my cholesterol is normal and my blood pressure is decreasing. My back, ankles, knees and joints have thanked me for my 54# weight loss andy daughter notices that I can do more things with her! Hubby notices too! Good luck on your journey! I'll dust you off a place on the loser's bench!

I went back in one week. I have a desk job, but I still felt it was too soon. I didn't have enough paid time off to take off any longer. So take a couple of weeks if you can..I rushed back too soon and ended up getting a hematoma...so rest if you can. Good luck!

Ok I am out with my family..and I fit in the booth at Rafferty's with room to spare..see the picture!!! I have never been comfortable in a booth at Rafferty's..shut up room to spare!!!! And I am having the side salad sans the potato sticks and cheese with egg and fat free dressing! This is truly a victory for me!!! I feel "normal". Sorry about the boob shot..but I can't suck those in..lol..not even sucking in anyway!!!
