Don't get discouraged! Was your BMI lower? When were you sleeved? Everyone's rate is different. Have you tracked what you are eating? Look at your grams of protein..is it within the ranges your nutritionist recommended? Are you exercising? If not..start..it helps! But whatever you do, don't beat yourself up +50# are gone forever..better than where you began!

I enjoy EAS CarbAdvantage protein shakes. Have you tried those? They are thinner in consistency as have good flavor profiles. They are also convenient and decently priced. I have found them at Target, Kroger, Walgreens, and Walmart.

And these don't come with the Mayo or pickle relish packs so it's lower fat as well..I don't miss the mayo anyway! It's are just tasty!

Here's one of my favorite proteins. And for me..it's cheap. That's my everyday lunch with a fruit or vegetable du jour ..it's a perfect portion ..3 ounces of tuna and I leave the crackers alone that come with it..leave those for coworkers may want to nibble on something. They also have a Thai Chili and Tomato Basil that isn't bad either..very flavorful..cheap, nutritious, & delicious (although the Thai Chili burned my face off)! $1.58 at Walmart..Target had them for $1.56.

OMGoodness! Today I won't call the scale a liar! Down 69# and officially not pegging out the scale..I thought just being weighed on a regular scale would be awesome..and it was ...but now...now we get to back that scale weight at the bottom back one notch! I feel like I have been given an award and need to do an acceptance speech!!! Thank you to my doctor at Vanderbilt..thank you to the nurses, dietitian, psychologist, lab tech, receptionist, insurance specialist, & anybody else who I have encountered, laid hands on me, or simply encouraged me to continue forward. Thank you to my hubby and family without whose constant love and continuing support, I would not be here..and thank you to you all out in VST land....during my first infancy weeks after surgery..I found comfort, support, and peace knowing it gets better with time, learned wisdom from those who went before me, and accepted the baby steps I had to take....and with each baby step I took..I knew there was a hand to hold out there and eventually I could let go and walk on my own...knowing I can always grab a hand to help steady me if I need it! Life is getting better and I will continue on my journey with all my peeps in tow..walking now on my own every step of the way!

IMO he just said that remark off the top of his head without thinking what a nasty thing he said . or maybe he really was aware that this was a nasty comment - but figured he could get away with speaking like that to a "fat girl" IMHO ..he probably knew he said it, meant was he said, & probably was surprise she was in good health heart wise. He probably has what we call a "God Complex". Can't stand people like that!

Now that was highly unprofessional of a someone who claims to be a doctor. You know you're right...you can fix being "fat" ..but you can't fix ugly inside out!

Ok..this is a small one...so many of you probably remember I bought new scrubs..so I have worn them all week..anyway..on to my story..one of my new coworkers in the front clerical area states.."hey have you met my new skinny friend, Amy???" um..skinny has never been used in the same sentence when talking about me..LOL..anyway..it was small..thought I would share!

Dooter girl..I don't care if I am a size two..I can't use the plane's bathroom because my luck would be we would hit turbulence and the blue Water would splash my bare behind and then I would be so grossed out I would have to be physically romoved off the toilet ..and I would have to scrub my behind with bleach and get a tetanus and hepatitis A vaccine..lol

Man..you got that right...I have so many nsv but I think my favorite is being able to weigh on an old fashion scale..that is something I have not been able to do in a very good while..now I can!

Thanks guys! It's not easy as all of you know all too well! But the possibilities are endless if you use your sleeve properly!
