I bought Bariatric advantage chewables and sublinguals for most of my vitamins, for my routine meds I take them scored into 4 small pieces with a pill cutter and take one small corner at a time, with a sip of shake or water, it hasn't been too bad so far. good luck

Surgery went beautifully, one overnight stay and back home on the 2nd, sore of course but aside from the first time I sat up in the hospital there has been no nausea or vomiting, taking fluids and shakes/soups in intervals with added protein powder. (plain) also sugar free frozen pops for fluid intake, had a slight headache the first three days now its subsided, small incisions largest is about 2 inches 4 total and one JP drain opening, pain is tolerable and have been able to walk up and down the block for mobility, Hope all my May sleevers and sleeve twins are doing equally as well <3 best of luck and wishes for speedy healing and safe surgeries to come

I had my surgery on Tues May 1 and the filter was placed, NO problems at all, no soreness or bleeding from site, was up and walking the same evening so don't worry, hope it helps you

Hours away, got my call to be at the Hospital to check in at 5am... WOW its finally here, its been a long road to get here, and I gotta give praise where its due... God is good all the time, and all the time God is good... I'm having surgery on May first I started the options program Dec 28th 2011, they asked us to lose 10% for our safety, to reduce the fatty liver to make it easier for the Laparoscopic procedure, otherwise the surgeon will have problems lifting your liver to visually see your stomach and they could opt for a laparotomy, and personally I did not want that incision down the middle of my belly from breast bone to navel, so I sucked it up dug down and did it... lost the required weight, and then some... Good luck to you ! and my surgeon turned one woman away when she gained two pounds, another was made to wait 9 months until she lost the weight.. don't wait start working on it now so you will be ready when you complete your classes

Yes I am having the filter placed as well, I asked as well if it could be removed and he said yes, but they generally don't remove it since its designed to remain inside the body, I figure its an added protection so I'm not gonna worry about it, good luck to you

Went in today for my final weight check before the surgery next Tue, 70 pounds down Pre-op- its been a rough ride since January but that much closer to my goals. its been years since I have been this size, I know the best is yet to come. very happy

My surgery is scheduled for May 1st with Dr E. Mun Torrance Ca. through Kaiser Permanente just had all my pre-op labs done today and READY to go good luck to everyone !!

From what my pre-op classes have taught me is that dry mouth is very common in post op patients, and drinking more water will help, you can also use sugar free frozen pops to suck on during the day to increase your fluid intake, although I am in pre-op status I find the protein powders/drinks make my mouth dry out so that could be a contributing factor for you as well since your probably still doing protein shakes etc. good luck to you
