Oops, forgot to update y'all. Went to LB and tried on clothes and I'm down 3 1/2 sizes all over. When I get the other 1/2 off, I'll be smaller than when I met my hubby. I guess maybe I am losing inches. I didn't know that happens when your weight loss slows down. THanks, that helps!

Insubordination - I admire that you can talk about the binges even though it makes you uncomfortable. Way to go!

Okay, I'm getting a little frustraited. I need some suggestions. Ive been stuck at 47lbs for 2 weeks despite exercising and following the rules (except getting enough water of a few days back.) Any suggestions on how to get it going just for the 3 lbs I have left before my 1st goal? I get my next fill on the 20th.

Suzzzie...ignore that firend, she's just jealous and cowardly too. She's probably afraid of surgery or the cost of it and can't stand to see your success. I've noticed some of my friends trying really hard to not say the same thing, but I know they think it. Heck, I probably would too if I hadn't of gotten my nerve up to do this. They'll get over it in time, if not, then they can have the spaces at the top of my list!

Another semi-rotten day. Went to the dentist for a check up and have a cavity...I haven't had one since I was 9. Geez. I hope this doesn't set the tone for the rest of the week. Lisa - no thanks on the kitties, these were strays we were fostering since their momma was killed by the same dogs a couple of months ago. I still hav eon left, but I feel sorry for her, she's seen her enitre cat family killed in the past two months. I do, however, have a new pet chicken who sleeps in my husband's truck bed at night if anyone's interested. Her name's Helen (of Troy) and she fell off the Tyson truck when they came to pick 'em up last month. She's is an awesome lawn mower protector and swimming pool companion too. She prefers John Deer. Here's the upside of the day...I did walk 2miles and do Water aerobics for 2 hours and ate a little today. I had 4 people compliment me on my loss. They guys at the windsheild repair shop fixed my rear defroster for free too. I guess the good does out weigh the bad today! Y'all hang in there.

I did okay today. I didn't exercise as much as I usually do. Two of our kittens we killed last night by dogs and I spent much of the day trying to find them before Gus got home, only to find them mauled. I did swim 30+ minutes this evening. Wrestled Gus in the speech therapist's office for 30 minutes...I did SWEAT loads during this, so I'm counting it as aerobic exercise...remember he weighs 45 lbs and is strong as an ox. I did cheat just now because I was starving when I lay down. I had a very small slice of red barron pizza. Gus started his new preschool today and we have extra long days on Mondays and Wednesdays from about 7-6pm with all the therapies to get him to talk. Tomorrow and Thursday I have water aerobics, but maybe I can rest after I get my car fixed and go to the dentist! Sheeesh! This is supposed to be summer VACATION! I'd rather go to work!

Here's what keeps me going even though my loss has slowed down the past 2 weeks: I have an addiction to food. This addiciton is a little harder to break because unlike every other addiction, we have to eat to survive. We can't go cold turkey. Don't beat yourself up. Just keep doing your best, that's all any of us can do at any given moment. If you mess up (I guarentee all of us have), let it go and try to do better.

I didn't really get it cut short, just thinned a lot. I don't have the patience to straighten it everyday and I'm afraid to do it permanetly because I feel safer with poofy hair! Maybe when I'm skinny, I'll feel more secure about keeping it straight. The enzyme is a chewable tablet that tastes really good. You take up to three at a time. I've been taking two and it helps a lot. You can order it from GNC.com or from the Vitamin Shop. The Vitamin Shop has the better deal with 300 for $7 and GNC is 180 for $7. The product at GNC is called papya complete. I've also been told that pineapple juice will help too. Anybody tried that?

Usually when I'm stuck, it takes about 15 minutes to an hour to pass. I've heard some people taking 3-5 hours! Yikes! This getting stuck is kind of painful. I'm finding that my band must close up easily and I need to sip something warm throughout the day. I think my first fill must have been a tight one, but nothing I can't live with. The papya enzyme has really helped speed things up so that almost 5 minutes after taking it, I'm feeling a lot better if not totally better. I would recommend a heating pad and a BIG pillow to help position yourself in bed until the soreness goes away too. Also, it might be a good idea to buy some surgical tape to have on hand when you come home. My steristrips didn't want to stay stuck the find couple of days because of drainage. The hairdo went well...wohoo! I'm now an auburn redhead with super straight hair until I was it! If you don't have super curly hair, I know it's not big deal, but wow have I been missing out!

Does anyone use an online food journal? I've found one, but I'm not happy with it. I'd welcome any recommendations!

Have any of y'all tried those body wraps they were talking about in the paper on I think Tuesday? They're supposed to help you lose weight and tighten the skin...permanetly. I always thought the wraps were temporary. I asked my sis-in-law, who is nurse, if it was possible, and she said that it was. So I'm thinking I'm going to call about it and see if the people who do it think it might help my skin on my arms, legs, and tummy to tighten up as I'm losing weight. It's already looking deflated in those places and making want to start a savings account for PS. I'm planning on waiting the 2 years to let it tighten what it can, but it does make worry a little. I got hung and tried the papaya enzyme and helped speed everything up! I recommend it. They have it a GNC for about $7. Welcome to all the new folks too.

Bigbaby - I'm glad it all went well for you. Hang in there. Did they do your procedure in the hospital or the office? Did your insurance cover it?

No fluid in my band at surgery. I guess I either have a large stomach and the large band is squishing it or I'm just sensitive to the band adjustments.
