    Cereal For Breakfast??

Thanks guys.. I did not give in to my cereal "wants". I will hold off until I can eat solids.
  2. Good morning everyone.. I am 2 Weeks postop. I still have pain and soreness, but it is getting better. I'm still technically on mushy foods, but I have tried a couple of solids without any problems. Will be permanently moving on to solids within the next few days. My problem.. I'm SOOOOOO tired of mushy foods especially scrambled eggs for breakfast. I really want a little bit of special k cereal with fat free lactose free milk. Has anyone had cereal or anything similar so soon after being banned? Did you have any problems?
  3. Congratulations!!! I was banned on the 3rd and the gas pain just got better today, but I still have port pain.

Ok This Might Be Tmi But....

I am having the exact same problem right now!! I had my surgery on 4/3. The cramping and diarrhea are excruciating and began yesterday around 2am! I called my Dr, but spoke to the RN.. She recommended I take some Imodium as directed on the box and make sure I do not stop the liquids. She also recommended I eat proteins only, no veggies, no potatoes.. nothing but proteins. I'm really hoping this helps. I hope you feel better soon!!
  5. Thanks... Positioning pillows as I lay down does help and I'm going to get a heating pad as well! Honestly, it really helps knowing that this pain will soon go away. I was really starting to regret the procedure cause of all of this pain...that they did NOT warn me of!! The RN and Dr said I'd be up and active by day 3 without any pain. So once again.. Thank you for your comments, advice and support!
  6. Thank you everyone.. I am still taking my pain meds. I was trying to get myself off of them because they make me sleepy, but I think I'm going to take them for a couple more days. j1m.. Thank you, at least now I know I'm not the only weirdo. I am walking, but for the most part I'm taking it easy, hoping it goes away sooner then later.
  7. I had my procedure on the 3rd, I am still in A LOT of pain. The gas pain finally went away yesterday, but I continue to have a burning sensation that starts at my belly button and moves out the left side right where the port is located. I can't sit, climb into bed or bend down without this horrible pain. Has anyone else felt this? If so, does it go away?? I have my first followup appointment with my doctor on Monday, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice until then. Thanks!!
