My name is Mary Smith. I am a 39 year old stay at home mom to 6 children ages 21, 15, 13, 11, 2, and 1. All but my 13 year old are girls. My husband is in the army so we move around a lot. I have always struggled with my weight but managed to get it under control in 2000 after the birth of my 4th child. I kept my weight off for 9 years until I got pregnant in October of 2008 and again in April of 2010. This has been my highest weight and I attribute that to being depressed while we were stationed in South Korea for 2 years. We finally got back state side in December. I started my surgery journey in February and was sleeved on April 2, 2012. I am very happy to be on this journey. Every day is a struggle but it is a happy struggle and I look forward to a future with a much healthier me.
