8 Days Post Op And Starving
rodswife replied to rodswife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel you. I just don't want to prohibit my weight loss and that's what scares me the most. I thought about pureeing some chicken with some cream soup but haven't actually had the guts to do it. -
8 Days Post Op And Starving
rodswife replied to rodswife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not going to eat. I was just venting. I'm aware that I'm swollen. I can feel the gas still. Oy vey. Lol im just starving. And no, can't eat anything. I'm only allowed liquids. He said if I can drink it through a straw without actually using a straw, I can have it. -
I got sleeved the 2nd and was supposed to get mine on the 7th but it came the 4th instead and it was obnoxiously heavy.

Prayers going out to you. You will doing wonderfully.

Yea I try not to comment on weight too. This post is in reference to nothing specific. Just saw tons of people brag with right about weight loss only for someone to say something negative. It struck a nerve and I ranted
-
I haven't gotten it. I've seen others that have and it makes me mad for them.

Am I The Only One............

I'm one week out and I wake up every night because of horrible gas pains in my chest that radiate up and down my stomach. It feels like someone is ringing me inside out. I'm hoping it gets better too because it is seriously painful. Can't stand the spasms. -
Well I gotta say that I prayed a lot on my decision to finally go through with it. I had the same thoughts as you did and kept saying that if I'm not supposed to do this, God would give me a sign. He did. He gave me the support of my family, especially that of my dad who is a physician. I thought he would be against it and tell me to work out, eat less carbs etc. but he stood by me and I knew that if the cons outweighed the benefits, my dad would have stopped me instead of encouraged me.

Hello. I'm 6 days post op and today I hurt so bad. Every time I take a sip of anything it feels like I have a huge painful gas pocket in my chest. It's miserable. Anyone else feel this way? All I drink are my protein shakes and water.

That's awesome. Congrats. Panty hose are a pain in the butt

I didn't buy my kids candy this year either. I don't want the temptation.

Help, Day 10 I Want Food
rodswife replied to Cmullinvegas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't even buy my kids candy this year. If I don't need it, neither do they. I'm making Easter a healthy tradition. -
I took a paper thin, tip of my pinky bite of a baked, lean pork chop. Chewed it til complete liquid and don't feel guilty. Lol

I'll have to try the gas strips. I'm on nexium daily. It's all just gas pressure.

Thank you cmw1000. I hope this gets easier. I couldn't drink all my protein today because of it.

Having "girl" Problems - Ladies, Please Respond!

I just had my surgery on April 2nd and I got my period 2 days after surgery which was 4 days early. It is SOOOO fricking heavy and disgusting. I thought it was because of the heparin shots though so we will see. I had to stop taking them because they made my tongue swell up. Im hoping it tapers off because this is a little annoying. -
So Has Anyone Else Had To Do The Lovonox Injections
rodswife replied to chitowngirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do them too but my tongue swelled up and I started my period and was soaking pads every 20 minutes. Im just 5 days post op and had to stop them. I've been walking around to avoid the blood clots. It didnt bother me to give myself the shots, it just bothered me that my tongue swelled up and I kept biting it. lol -
Envisioning A Certain Nsv

I completely understand how you feel. I had to give a lot of my cute shoes and boots away over the past 3 years because my fat legs and feet wouldnt fit into them. I am 4 days post op and I gotta tell you, I can see the bones in my feet again. My legs are a different story but it sure is a start. Hang in there, you will be rocking those boots in no time. Good luck on your upcoming surgery, -
I'm 4'9 and was sleeved this past Monday, April 2nd. I had some major regrets the first day and a half because I was so dang sick and hurt so bad. But 4 days out and I feel great. I started out at 250lbs and I am down to 238lbs and I am eager to see much more weight loss. I am, however, feeling guilty because I see how all these people are working out for hours and day and I just cant dedicate that much time to a workout with 6 children. Hang in there. I think it will get easier once we start really seeing results. Congrats on your new life.

4 Days Post Op Food And Exercise Question
rodswife posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone, I was sleeved on Monday and was wondering. My surgeon told me that I can eat anything that I could put through a straw (without really using the straw to prevent air). So I have been drinking an 8 ounce protein shake with skim milk and I also blend a can of cream soup in the blender with a can of skim milk and drinking that all day as well. I have also managed to get in a 16.9 bottle of propel zero. I feel a little full but keep drinking to try and meet the requirements for my liquid intake. Am I doing wrong by continuing to drink even though I know I feel full? Im considering the cream soup part of my liquid intake as well. I just dont want to gain weight. This has me nuts. I've been walking around the house here and there but really haven't started taking really good power walks. Should I be doing that 4 days out already? Sorry, kind of a two part question. -
Help, Suffering From Head Hunger

It's sad that I'm 4 days out and want to eat real food. I have not and will not but when I see my family eating, I just want to enjoy it too. I've been trying to stay away from them right now.
