I was told by my surgeon that unless we have the bypass surgery and unless our b12 levels are low, we would not need the b12 injections or pills. I am not prescribed anything but a multivitamin and nexium.

Fish, eggs, refried beans, oatmeal, mashed potatoes (though I avoid cuz of the carbs), avocado, lean, thin deli turkey, to name a few. All this gets old too Lolol.

Higher Bmi - Almost 4 Weeks Post Op - Still No Nsv's :(
rodswife replied to HadToDoIt40's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You all are not alone. I'll be a month out on Tuesday. I'm down 20lbs and several inches. I didn't measure til today but I see it in my clothes. I just don't see a huge difference in me and people don't either. I've had some of the same rude comments about when am I supposed to start losing. It's a slow process and im currently in a stall and about to start my period but I keep trying to tell myself that by doing this slowly, maybe I won't sag as much. At least I'm hoping. I'm ready to see a difference now though -
Anyone Wanna Do A 7-Day Paleo Challenge With Me?
rodswife replied to BlackBerryJuice's topic in Food and Nutrition
I'm still down for trying it out and omg, LOVE raw oysters. Lol. I eat 6 small meals a day so I'm cool. Just in my 3 week stall at the moment and trying to break it -

I can also say that by doing this, I feel tired at night but I'm hungry every 2 hours it seems. I can only eat an ounce at a time -

I'll do it. I pretty much do it now with the exception of cheese. All I eat is proteins and veggies and an occasional bite of fresh fruit. I won't eat my meat raw though. Lol it has to be cooked. -
When Can I Go Swimming? Almost 4 Weeks Post Op
rodswife replied to HadToDoIt40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to the doc for me 3 week check up and he told me I had to wait 1 more week to swim. As long as all your incisions are healed with no scabs or openings, you should be ok -
I'll have to try that cuz it just gets stuck lol. Ty

I have a hard time swallowing lunch meat. Lol I've tried with a little mustard and it sticks in my throat. Do you eat it with anything to make it more moist?

Stall Information!
rodswife replied to mrsbrown0330's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This was informative. Thank you -
My doc told me to eat 6 small meals a day to help keep my metabolism up. So snacking doesn't mean eat chips etc. I mean healthy foods that could be considered a small meal. My nut gave us a book saying 3 small meals a day and no snacking in between but my doc says differently.

You could also ask your doctor for samples.

Yea he said I'm on track but you know how it goes. We always want more. I need to exercise patience as well as my body. I'm glad I'm not the only short person here. Lol

My doctor told me that if I get too much protein, my body will convert it to carbs and will use it for energy and burning as opposed to my body fat. I don't want that for me. I'm 4'9 so I'm sticking to the 60-80g recommended by my doc.

Thanks for posting this. I have pcos and the trouble I am having is the weight actually coming off. I will be one month post op on Tuesday and am only down 18lbs but keep bouncing 2lbs back and forth. The weight just won't come off no matter how much I work out or follow the diet (which I'm doing both religiously). It's very frustrating and I wonder if the scale will ever move and if I will ever lose this weight. I get very discouraged.

What time do you all eat your last meal or snack of the day? What do you eat if you get hungry around 9pm?
-
I can't have any more protein shakes though after my last meal. I reach my protein limit by then. I need some snack ideas that are non protein, non dairy and low carb.
