How Much Walking Is Everybody Doing Post Op?
Squisha replied to tamjo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Early out i didn't keep track of how much i walked. I had surgery on a Wednesday and on Monday when most of my family went back to work my Grandma started coming over everyday and walking with me or taking me shopping with her since i couldn't drive. The first few days grandma would out walk me and i would have to sit and rest, now i am up to 1.25-1.5 miles at 6 months out. Try to walk every other day and weights on the alternating days. -

I liked it, but i was full after just a few bites, and it is 1 of those things i didn't want as left overs. and i just remembered it wasn't KFC it was Boston Market. And so far the only thing i have found that doesn't agree with me is Milk. -

Protein Drink & 3 Meals A Day?
Squisha replied to doxieville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 6months out and still have problems getting in enough protein, so the protein shake helps me get close to my goal. I have also never been a big breakfast eater, so i started protein shakes before surgery to get in breakfast. -
I didn't have a pre op diet, doctor wanted me to lose 10lbs during 3months with NUT, but i was able to eat normal food up until 6pm the day before surgery. I was told my stomach was larger than he anticapated so the whole my stomach came out of is maybe 1/2 in larger than he had planned. but no other problems.

Of course that would also mean i would have to gain some cordination or i will the skinny chick broken on the ground instead of the fat chick broken on the ground. -

To The Moms Out There
Squisha replied to mommyofthree's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My Nephew was 5 weeks old when i had surgery, When my sister went back to work a week later i started watching him. I could hold him, carry him and lay him in his bassinet but i couldn't bend down to pick him up. My 12 year old had to help by picking him up and handing him to me for about 3 weeks. So if you are going to have the surgery with your baby so young i would recommend having someone available to help you for at least a few weeks. -

Eating Quickly W No Side Effects
Squisha replied to doxieville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am just short of 6months out, things like pudding have always gone down super easy from the very beginning. I am still working on eating slow, some days it is still hard to remember, and soft things like pudding, jello and yougurt are the hardest to go slowly on.
