So Many Changes In My Life....and Laundry Is A Big One
Squisha commented on tmorgan813's blog entry in A funny thing happend while I was loosing weight
lol, my husband does laundry in our house, and for years he has been hanging my shirts to dry. I really thought i was the only 1 that didn't dry my shirts to keep them from shrinking. Now everything goes in the dryer and still comes out too big. -

Water And Stretching Sleeve
Squisha replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been told water can not strech your sleeve. But I would talk to your doctor about how much is too much, you can dilute the minerals in your body by drinking too much and since you can eat as much you could pre op your not replinishing those minerals as fast. -
This Is Why I Don't Keep My Wls A Secret...
Squisha replied to Lissa's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I started to take WLS serious after someone spoke to my mom about there experience. I had thought about surgery for a while but never took any steps or talked to my family about it. My mom came home talking about how well this lady she met was doing and the next week i went to my surgeons information seminar. It is the best thing i ever did and i love telling people about my surgery and how much i have lost and how much better i feel. -

Bad Credit And No Job..can I Still Get Approved For A Load For Surgery?
Squisha replied to MissBJones's topic in Insurance & Financing
You may have better luck getting a loan if you have a cosigner with good credit. -
Day to day changes are completely normal. I like to keep track of my weekly and monthly losses. And usually around week 2 -3 there is a stall.

1 or 2 days of bad eating isn't going to strech your sleeve. I am 7 months out, and every now and then i have a bad day. I still can't eat much at 1 meal but I can graze and eat small amounts all day if i am not paying attention. I make sure to long everything even on a bad day, it helps me keep focus and make sure it doesn't turn into a bad 2 day or week.

I am able to eat the skins but I am 7 months out now, i waited till i was about 4 months out to do the skins.

Awwwww....you Don't Need That Surgery. You Aren't Big Enough.
Squisha replied to charliesangelnumber2's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have told everyone, friends, family, random strangers. I have recieved nothing but postive feedback from everyone I told. The only people I haven't told are my husband family because they have been super critical and judgemental of my weight in the past. We will see my husbands mom for the 1st time in 5 years in June and I will be 15 months out. I have no intention of telling her just gonna tell her it was diet and exercise. -
I like to do a few apple slices with peanut butter or cottage cheese with mixed fruit. I get some protein and some healthy fat and carbs.

Should Wls Be Performed At An Early Age?
Squisha replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved at 33, i have been looking into WLS since my early 20s but never had insurance to cover it and couldn't afford to pay myself. I wish I could have been sleeved younger, and 70 to 100 lbs lighter. -

How Did Your Children Adjust?
Squisha replied to Dcline's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have a 12 year old daughter, she did (is) adjusting very well. She had 1 small break down because she missed all the junk in the house, but we talked and she also wants to lose some weight, and so she is glad that I am now making healthier meals. I am so glad I did this now while she is still young. -
What's The Most You've Been Able To Eat At One Time?
Squisha replied to OneManWolfpack's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 months out I can usually do about 2 to 2.5oz of meat (usually chicken or turkey) I try to get about 1/8 to 1/4 cup of a veggie and maybe 1/8 cup of pasta or rice. I still have days though where i put that much food on my plate and can eat less than half. I can do about 3/4 slice of pizza, about 3 grilled chicken nuggets or 1/4 to 1/2 of a burger with no bun. -
No Liquid Pre Surgery Diet? Is This Normal?
Squisha replied to Dannysgirl2003's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I had no pre op diet. I could eat food all the way until 7 the night before surgery and then nothing by mouth after midnight. Surgery went fine, no complication i am 7 months out. -
I was told 4-6 small meals every 3-4 hours. At 7 months out I couldn't get even close to my protein goal if I only ate 2 meals. Are you supposed to be using a protein shake as a meal?? The first 5 1/2 months I had a protein shake as my breakfast.
