RiahG... Oh doesn't use the Rx iron, unless you are anemic. Most of the children's vitamins don't have iron, as they shouldn't, because the iron needs to be taken separately from other vitamins. Iron should be taken with vitamin C, and never with calcium...they bind together and become un-absorbable. I don't know why you would need a Rx strength iron, unless you are anemic. I take chewable iron and vitamin C together (at a different time than my other vitamins and calcium). Sue

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Our was good! My Fat-free Sugar-free crustless Pumpkin Pie was sooooo yummy, and healthy too, my new holiday treat! Sue
-
Those of you who have trouble with restriction when eating out, Wendy gave me a great tip...ask for a cup of hot water or tea before your meal. It loosens up the band, lessening the chance of PGing. You still get full and stay full, but you can eat a healthy meal, with less worries. Sue

Thanksgiving was great...I had at least a taste of everything! Mt favorite was my Fat-free Sugar-free Crustless Pumpkin Pie (Pumkin Custard). It turned out great, what a great treat, full of vitamins and 70 calories per serving...same as FF SF Pudding. I'm going to keep some on hand through the holidays!

Things I love about my band... *The 77# I'm not lugging around with every step *Shopping...in the entire store, not the plus sizes *Tieing my shoes...and breathing at the same time *Making ME a priority...taking the time for exercise and making healthy food instead of quick & easy junk *My kids are eating better, exercising more and loosing weight too *This is not temporary, I have a permanent back-up for when I "fall of the wagon" *I know I'm still seriously overweight...but I feel NORMAL!

Well, it'a 12:50 and I'm trying to "wind-down". Mer...you'd be proud of me, i gave my sewing machine a work out tonight. I decided to cut out my pieces for a window seat cushion I'm recovering, but now I remember why I tend to stay away from these projects...I obsess until I'm done. I just finished zipping it on...all done (thanks for all the great tips, Wendy). Hopefully I can sleep now. I tend to approuch projects the way I used to approach food, keep at it until it's all done! By the way, all done for my appetite is alot less since my fill on Monday. Today I learned the danger (and pain) of Costco samples. I had to make a quick decision if I should run for the bathroom, or the car, of course with a cart full. I made it to the car, barely. I've PB'ed before, but not like this...I very nearly lost it in the parking lot!!! YUCK! Lesson Learned!!! Sue

Hey if you're going to walk give me a call, it's so hard to motivate when it's cold out, I enjoy walking outside so much more than indoors, but I get cold so easily Sue

Boy, liquids sure don't satisfy. Had a fill yesterday, so I'm trying to stay on liquids today like a good girl. I feel full fairly quickly, but it sure doesn't last long, and I realy want to chew something...how did I do this for 7 weeks? 2 days and I'm whining! Sue

OK, one last thing to try...did you try all the different options on the ticker factory page, try copy/paste each of the options bbcode...HTML...ezCode. Oh, and I think I said to past to the "options" box, but you should paste to the "your signiture:" box. I don't remember which ticker code we're supposed to use, just try them all, and you might try closing your browser and reopening as you try each one, sometimes re-opening the page will help. That's my last guess :faint: ...worth a try Sue

Carol... Sound like you are pasting it into the message box. If so, your pasting to the wrong place. Go to the top of this page, click on the UserCP (User control panel) then click on Edit Signiture. At the bottom, below where you can customize the signiture you will see a box that says option 1 this is where you paste your ULR, then click save signiture. Hope that works. Sue

Mer... I constantly have to remind myself to stay out of the "plus" department, it's SO amazing to shop in the "normals", but the choices are overwelming. I've been so long in teh "pluses" and the very few choices that offers, that having the entire store open to me is scary!!! Sue Yes...let's walk!

Melissa... CONGRATS!!! 4RE4ME... Ditto to you!!! It feels great to shed that "MORBID" label!!! Next will be OB!

Had my 4th fill today, just added .3cc, didin't want to be too tight for the holidays, I want some restriction, but I don't want to be running from the table at every holiday dinner. The challenge is to stay away from all those buttery cookies and chocolates!!! I've got Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas, New Years and a Mexican cruise in the next 2 months...yikes!!! Soo many opportunities to screw it up. I'm learning to take a taste and move on, that seems to work best for me. Keeps me form feeling deprived, taste & move on. Sue
-
Carol... are you pasting the code in the "edit signiture" under the "userPC" then click on the save signiture at the bottom?
-
Melissa... Have a fabulous day tomorrow. Remember it doesn't have to be perfect, you make it perfect by having the time of your life..just have fun! CONGRATS!!! Sue

I understand what you're saying. I'm so much more comfortable in my own skin (even if it is getting kind-of saggy). I feel so "normal" now, even if I am still the biggest person in the room I'm not longer the "elephant". Leaving that "Morbid" label behind was huge. I don't feel like people are staring.

ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's offical, no more 2** I'm sitting here nearly in tears, never thought I'd get here! This is the best thing I've ever done for myself. It's not just the decision to band, but the decision to commit. I am committed to never be what I was...the best is yet to come!
-
Goldie... It's Today...It's Today! Did you go visit Vitalady? They will let you try all kinds of protien drinks, maybe there is one you will like better. My favorites are Champion chocolate, nectar Lemon and ProV60 vanilla Ice cream (Lemon and ice cream flavors mixed makes my favorite fruit smoothy base). You're in my prayers today, Sue

ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's official! I guess it's a day for bragging. We should be proud of ourselves. It's imposiible for anyone who's not been where we 've been to understand our journey. Some people who know I've been banded look at me like I took the easy way out...there is no easy way out, it's all hard work, physically and mentally. I am proud of myself, for my accomplishment and for making the decision to band and commit to the work. I will never again be what I was, the best is yet to come! Doing the happy dance...Sue
