I never had pain in my port area, don't know why.

I am another lap band failure, and until I found this site I thought I was the only one! I was banded dec. Of 2004. The most weight I lost was 35 lbs. I was constantly hungry, bad reflux, and I never could predict whether I could eat nothing or a whole meal. I couldn't eat the healthy foods or lean protein at all. But junk food was no problem. It seems to work the opposite of what it should. I finally had all the fluid removed in dec. 2010,and instant relief. On January 12, I had vsg, my pre surgery weight was more than pre band. I wish I had vsg years ago. I am also in support groups an I feel like telling people not to get the band, but not sure it's my place to say. I guess some people are successful with the band, I don't know how! Anne Vsg 1/12/11

Hi Mikey, I was sleeved the day after you. I would take something like prilosec, it could be partly acid. Are you on shakes? I am, no soft food till two wks for me, I can't wait I'm sick of shakes! Good luck, Anne

How do you become overweight as a raw vegan? I think juicing sounds like a great idea, what would be good veggies to use that aren't too high carb?

I wonder if deep down she is jealous, or scared about the future when her friend is thinner and she is not. Maybe that is part of it. Good luck, you will do great, I'm 1 week out and feeling awesome, 11 pounds down. Anne

I was sleeved on the 12th, finishing my last day of clears, on to shakes tomorrow, no real hunger just head hunger. I wanted to see how everyone else is doing, anne

Hi, I was wondering what you ended up doing? I'm in Tucson also, and have a band, for almost 5 yrs now, I weigh almost what I did the day of my surgery! I am now wanting a sleeve. Looking at getting it here in town, but I'm self pay, so considering Mexico. Thanks, Anne
