    Denial

I talked with Kelley today and I’m very happy with how she thinks things will go! They are very knowledge and I feel that they will be well worth the money.

    Lindstorm Obesity Advocacy - Help

She has! It’s also in all of my lapband notes!
  3. Has anyone used Lindstorm before and had a positive outcome? I am at the end of my rope with my insurance. They denied my ore determination, denied my peer to peer, now I have an urgent appeal that was submitted yesterday. The reason they are denying is my current EGD shows no sign of erosion, slippage, or reflux. In the appeal letter that I sent them yesterday I explained that the EGD wouldn’t show reflux because I take liquid Zantac daily to prevent it. I am completely lost.

    Lindstorm Obesity Advocacy - Help

As much as I appreciate your input I do not need the negativity. So please find someone else’s parade to rain on.

    Lindstorm Obesity Advocacy - Help

Can you explain how my argument has holes in it? I know that I suffer from reflux. I have for the past two years. I have a ER visit were I was diagnosed with GERD as well as a previous EGD that showed the reflux. And I thought this was a positive community. 😊😊😊😊

Denied - Peer to Peer review

I wish that this happened. However it was denied.

    Denial

I have been an emotional wreck with this. I have reached out to a lawyer this morning. I read about them on here, Lindstorm.
  8. Is there anyway I could private message you about this!

    Frustrated with BCBS TX! HELP!

I completely agree! I work in the ER and get so frustrated when I have a patient ask the same question over and over. But I’m always nice and courteous.
  10. I am beyond frustrated with BCBS TX. My paperwork was submitted for pre determination on 03/14/2018. I have called every day since the 15th to check and see the status. I have had the pleasure of talking to some customer services reps more than once a week. Today I called, this makes my 12th business day, I talked to a very nasty lady on the phone. My paperwork is still in the review status. I asked the lady if she could tell me how much longer it would be, "Well like I've told you the past 8 times I have no idea!" She was so rude. I told her I have the right to call and check on the pre determination. I asked to speak with her manager and was refereed to a patient advocate. I expressed my frustration and she had my pre determination escalated. Has anyone had this happen before?

    BCBS TX Approval

I know that I have posted this topic before, but the waiting is killing me! I am having a revision surgery, lapband to bypass. My paperwork was submitted to the insurance company on 03/14/2018. I have called every day since then asking about the status of the pre determination. I've been told that it takes up to 30 days. Has anyone had it approved in less than 30 days?

    BCBS TX Approval

So this is where is where Is stand now. I have called every day since my paperwork was submitted. Some days I have called twice a day. Today I spoke with a very nasty lady. I asked if she could tell me anything about how much longer the process would take, her response was "Well, like I've told you the past 8 times I have no idea!" I asked to speak to her manager after she was so rude. Now my predetermination has been escalated. I'm just beyond frustrated at this point.
  14. Hi! I received the phone call last week that all of my paperwork was submitted to the insurance company! YAY! I have BCBS TX and was wondering how long it took to get approval.

    BCBS TX Approval

So far mine is still in review! Ugh! The waiting is killing me. I called today and spoke with the insurance cordinator. She said it could take 30 days, then they have to submit approval for an overnight stay.
  16. It's getting real! Having my EGD and EKG done Friday! I'm having a revision surgery from LapBand to Bypass! I started my low carb diet today! So far it's been easy. With LapBand I had to do a 2 week liquid diet, which sucked! I'm looking for fellow LapBand patients who have had a revision and had success. The band honestly never worked for me. I was 393 when I had the band placed and now I'm at 370 after 6 years. I only have two main concerns with the surgery.. I'm worried about excess skin and dumping syndrome.
  17. Hi! Just wondering if anyone has any success with getting a revision with BCBS TX! I am hoping to have a revision in April. I have my first doctors appointment in March. My insurance does not require a waiting period. The only qualifications is BMI over 30, psych eval, and to prove that the band has failed. When I talked to the office, they need to prove that my band has slipped, eroded, or the port is no longer where it should be. I would love to hear from anyone who has had success with this insurance!

    BCBS TX Revision

I'm really hoping for a fast approval! I started my pre op diet Tuesday. So far I'm down 4 lbs! I had my EKG and EGD done yesterday. Everything went well. The doctor told me that there wasn't much of a pouch left. I'm not sure how to take that.

    LapBand to Bypass

I started the pre op diet on Tuesday when I went for my consultation! So far I've lost 4lbs. The hardest thing has been cutting out pop. I haven't had one since Tuesday and the headaches are ridiculous. I had my EGD and EKG yesterday and everything went well. I'm hoping for a quick approval.

    Band to Sleeve! Help please!

How did you know it was slipped?
  22. Ya'll. I need help, or well really for someone to calm my nerves. I had lapband almost 5 years ago! When I started the journey I was 393. 5 years later I am 370. I am so disguisted in myself that I have failed. The fills hurt like hell. Every time I had a fill I would leave crying or wouldn't be able to eat for days. The GERD has gotten worse in the past month. I contacted a surgeon and attended the seminar. Now I have scheduled my first appointed! However, I am now completely scared that they will not be able to prove my band has slipped or there are complications. When I talked to the director yesterday she said that my surgery could be as soon as April! But that they needed to prove my band had slipped or there were complications. Now I'm sitting here full of worry that maybe the band hasn't slipped. Maybe I just didn't give it the chance to work. Any advice would be very helpful!
  23. How long does the soreness last?
  24. Brttnyj89

    Just A General Question.

I'm one day out and I am very sore.
  25. I have been on my liquid diet for exactly 8 days. Monday night I gave into temptation and ate two boiled eggs and a handful of shredded cheese. When I weighed myself the following day I had lost 12 pounds. When I initially started the diet I was 393. I am beginning to worry whether or not I'll loose enough weight in order to have the surgery. Every time I call and talk to my doctor he never fully tells me how much I need to loose or anything like that.
