I'm going in for my first fill on April 19 and I was wondering if it would be possible to tighten my band the most as possible and then later reducing it if it was too tight. A friend of my mines that also has the band suggested it because after going through ten fills he is finally is his "green zone" which is 8cc in a 10cc band. Any susggestions? And where you put on a liquid diet after the fill?

New And Just Got Mu Surgery Date.
Yadelin29 replied to pookietx's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I would suggest eating your favorite meal! The liquid diet sucks, but I don't regret doing it. Stick to the diet the nutritionist gives you!!! I lost most of the weight during that time. I stuck to it because of that and because I was super scared of something getting stuck. Good luck though I wish you the best -
How Long Did You Stay Home Post-Surgery ?
Yadelin29 replied to Dzire's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took a week off, but I would recommend a week and a half just to be on the safe side. When I went back to work the car ride was the worst because it was very bumpy. It depends how you feel though. -
Lap Band Is Not Reversible. Why The Sleeve May Be A Better Choice.
Yadelin29 replied to crystalny's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I also rushed into surgery without considering the other alternatives, but if I would have I would have rather gone with the sleeve. My sister is now considering it and it sounds a lot better than the band. The only thing I wasn't to happy with is that it entails more "surgery" in the sense that you have to take 80% of your stomach out, but in the long end you end up loosing just as much as the Gastric bypass. While the lapband is great and I'm having no problems whatsoever I just would have opted for the sleeve because you don't have to keep returning to reach your "sweet spot." -
