I am a previous Lap band patient. I had my lap band put in February 2010. And yes I lost 100+lbs. I was feeling so good about myself and I actually loved how I looked and I can't remember ever feeling that way before. I had a lot of energy and felt great. But I ended up with an issue where I couldn't keep anything down even water. My band was empty and if felt like it was closed My Dr told me that I should have it taken out, which I really didn't what to do but I had no choice So in July 2012 I had it removed. I was lost and within a year a gained everything back. I have now decided that I am going to have the sleeve done. I wasn't using my band as a tool. I have now learned that weight loss surgery is a tool and you have to work at it and make life long changes.
