    Breaking The Habit

    I am such a creature of habit. I have eaten the same time daily for over the last year. Now that I'm banded I find myself sitting down to eat even when I'm not hungry, three bites in I'm miserable. Is there anyone else that dealt with this and how did you break your food clock.

  6. So this weekend was my first social gathering (with tons of family and food) I did better than I expected but still found myself slipping back into old eating/snacking habits. What are some thing you banded pros have done to make sure you stay on track? Any tips would be amazing. This summer is basically one social event after another and i want to make sure I am not allowing me to slip up by not being prepared!!
  7. Wow it is so nice to know there are successful lapbanders who have PCOS. After trying fertility treatments and about a million diets I finally decided to give the lapband a go. I was just banded on 4/23. In total I have lost 22 lbs so far but have stalled ( which I found is normal after surgery) I am really hoping that this will be the answer to the prayer. I have never been able to lose weight with out being on metformin, I am hoping I do not have to go back on it but if the combination of the two turn me into a fat burning power house , then bring it on!!

    Couch To 5K

    My best friend and I are starting this week! I have never been a runner but I am excited at what this can lead to. We have found a 5k for every month starting in June all the way through the end of the year so we can stay motivated and be running for a "cause". We are also planning to do the 3 day walk for Breast Cancer in 2013!! Congrats everyone!! We are going to do awesome!

    Hi this is my first challenge!! Ready to Rock and roll!!! I live in Texas and really excited to get my new life started! Name, real or screen~ Amanda Goal weight for May 31st- 253 Weight on April 1st~ 263 Age~ 26 Dietary goal for May~ slowing down and Protein, protein, protein!! Exercise goal for May~ getting at least 3 30plus workouts in! Personal goal for May~ break my emotional ties with food. Date banded~ 4/23/12 Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~ 22 lbs What is your favorite flower~ I love peonies!!!
