Well tomorrow is my surgery . Will get my time of surgery today. I am super excited but the nerves are definitely settling in. Going to work today (hospice nurse) hopefully it will keep my mind occupied. And of course making sure I take pre op photos today!!!!!

For the ones that were allowed lights meals did you have to go on full liquids at anytime during surgery? Any drs recommend enema or laxatives before???? -

My husband and I are both in the medical field and we researched this over and over. My Dr requires 2 weeks of only liquids. Knowing they say it's to shrink the liver, but it actually takes the liver more than 2 weeks to shrink, I think it's a personal preference by the Dr. And Yes I have cheated -

At least u get a light meal, mine is ALL liquids, no sugar, no caffeine as well. I know the goal is to shrink the liver but as a nurse I don't see the necessity of 2 weeks full liquid
