still wanting fast food?
Rycherchick replied to kcozart26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You just have to put mind over matter. Its your brain rebelling. I wanted MCD french fries a week after surgery and I hardly ever went there before surgery. Just try to get busy and take you mind off of it and you will be fine. When you see that number going down on the scale your craving will get less. have lost close to 30 pounds in almost 5 weeks. You will over come this. -

When can I eat "real" food!?
Rycherchick replied to bigchange's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@ big change, a lot of the stuff you want to eat is mos away. Generally, no pasta bread tortillas and such for prob 3~6 mos post. Good luck, i feel the same way. Im dying for a piece of bread. I went to Panera to get some soup and you know how it comes with a chunk of bread, I asked her to take it out of the bag thats how much I didnt want to look at it. Good luck. It seems like time goes so fast but not for those of us waiting to have food, it creeps. -
Why Should i Get Sleeved?
Rycherchick replied to lookingforwardtothin's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Why should you? To live longer. Not everyone has Complications. I didnt have any. Was it worth it to me? Yes. I've lost close to 30 pounds in almost 30 days. The healthier you are and lower the bmi you will do fine. Even peeps with Co morbidities and higer bmi do great. -
Getting clean
Rycherchick replied to gelen's_change's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've never heard of having to clean with special soap, they scrub the area down real good before they cut anyway. I'm so glad my doc didn't require such things. I did have to adhere to the no jewelry and makeup rule but I didnt think they meant wedding rings so I asked the nurse if she could tape them and she said no a tech would have to cut them off so needless to say they came off right quick. -
