Totally agree! I am better this morning and at least at this moment trying to remind myself of the mistakes I made yesterday. I am 7 days post op. I only lost 4 pre-op (lack of willpower ) and have lost a little over 9 since surgery. My screw up yesterday was just the first of many, I'm sure. But I was so disappointed in myself. At least this morning I don't hurt as badly. I raise my shake glass to you all in a toast to better choices!

According to my instructions I am on full liquids from 72 hrs out up until my 1week drs visit, which is Wednesday. I am keeping it down, damn it. Its miserable. But I guess I should consider it a painful price to pay for my own stupidity! I know better. I'm not sure when I start mushies, but do think the shake was ok just way too much volume.

At this point, I am losing at least a pound a day. I realize that could stop at any moment. But it for is kinda nice to get on the scale and see some movement. It has been less than a week since surgery and I am even still a little sore.

Lets plan to meet soon. I am in Midlothian. Meet either Cedar Hill or Mansfield?

I am 4 days post op. Still on the liquid diet. Should be progressing to full liquids now. So, I bought some creamy chicken soup and ready to have some, but .... Since it's liquid anyway, do I need to stop my water 30 min before I have some? Or as long as it's all liquid, it doesn't matter? thoughts?

Hey, Ladies and Gents.... I want to update my ticker, but don't know how. I want to delete the one that Ihave on there and change it to myfitnesspal, but don't know how. Any suggestions? OH, and if I do get the MFP one on here, will it update automatically when the MFP on my phone does?

At work, kickin' butt! Feeling great. Little tight in the chest, but not bad. Bought a campbells soup at hand (the heat and sip kind) in the little tumbler thing. I bought creamy chicken, but honestly it's over 10 oz. No way in the world I can get all that down at one time. Afraid to try anything that isn't liquid just because of the horror stories I hear.

Was banded on 4/18. I don't think I'm hungry, but still feel tight in my chest. Not painful. Just tight. Like if I take a deep breath, it's tight. Went to dinner with friends last night, MEXICAN FOOD!! I ordered a cup of tortilla Soup. Spooned out all the chicken, tortillas and avacado - and then had the broth. About 7 or 8 spoon fulls. perfect. I wasn't hungry (but then wasn't when I started either) but felt like I was having dinner with my friends.

It has only been a couple of days and at this point I know hydration is the most important. But I am only getting 150+/- calories a day. Anyone else have the same issue?

working today, although prob only half a day. I'll be showing houses, and thankfully all the ones for today are single story. Not sure I'm up to hiking stairs a doz times!!

I just had mine Wednesday. I'm fine. The gas in the chest is painful ans annoying, but not pain meds worthy. My doc said I could shower the next day, just turn the water on my back, don't let it run down the front. Seemed simple enough.

I don't really feel badly, I get full, and haven't been as good about getting the water down. Prob 20 oz instead of 60/80. Just not hungry, at all.

I got to the surgical center at 10AM, they did't get me back for surgery until 12:30PM, but by 2:30 I was in my car, on the way home. Groggy, and grumpy but on the way, none the less

I don't understand the "stage" part. What is that?

My instructions were 4 weeks if it is your own pool, 6 if it is a public pool.

surgical center already called this morning to check on me. I had a rough night because I couldn't get comfortable and woke up with a terrible back ache just becuse of sleeping posiion. Not hungry, at all, but headed for some coffee. I was advised to have something warm every morning -

Had my iband surgery today. Got @3:00 +/- and I nurse about 1/4 c of water. About 8:30 tonight had half of an orange Popsicle. I have a little headache, really just groggy after pain meds. Feeling empty and want something but not sure if I should. I don't really feel hungry, just empty.

So... decided I needed something. Had 1/4 cup of chicken noodle soup without and noodles, just broth. And was satisfied. Then had my meds, 1 tsp pain med, and 2 tsp of antibiotics. Those three teaspoons put me over the top. Now miserable

Yeah, I scrubbed everything last night, shaved my legs, etc... then this morning I sat on the side of the tub and did another cleaning of the private area with peppermint soap! Just worried that I couldn't shower today. Freaks me out.... just grossed out if I dont have a tub bath every night and shower every morning

Thats great. It was almost 12:30 before I got to get back there.
