    Have You Ever Wondered...?

Yes! I also wish I had a picture of the part they removed.

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

On March 28, 2012, I had my pre-op consult, which officially started my journey! I am now halfway to goal and I couldn't be happier. I used to get frustrated while getting ready for work because I didn't like how my clothes fit because they were too tight. Now, I have to try on my clothes out of my back closet, once too small, to make sure they fit and aren't too sloppy. Never imagined that problem. Everyone in April is doing so well! Keep on working hard!!

  10. When you add your temp time and perm time do you have 12 months of service? I would think your temp time counts....maybe not.

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

Learned tonight while playing coed softball, I might be 52.5 pounds lighter, but I can still block a base/home plate like no body's business. Guy tried to come home got the tag down and he slid into me and took me down with him and I never lost the ball! Although, falling on my tummy hurt a little more than usual because there is less padding to absorb the fall. 3 months out and loving life!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

Challenge SW: 214.2 CW: 207.1 Challenge Weight Loss: 7.1 Challenge GW: 190 Challenge Weight Loss Goal: 24.2 Challenge Weight Loss to go: 17.1 Been drinking more Crystal Light than I want to in comparison to Water intake. Still hot but I need to get over the excuses and exercise more. Protein is doing better!
  13. Basically, right now, I'm in between Plus and Regular Size clothes. I am trying not to buy much until I'm at or closer to goal, but being a professional, I need some key pieces that aren't too big, especially pants. I do not want to look sloppy at work. I feel so out of place shopping in the regular section. I feel like people are looking at me like "IMPOSTER.....get back to your department." Okay, maybe not that extreme, but you get the point. Will I ever overcome this?

    Menstrual Cycle

I had surgery 4/24. Since surgery I feel like I have a mini-period every 2 to 3 weeks. I'm on birth control but guess my body still needs to adjust!

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

I'm with RMS. I was told to count protein and carbs....not calories. I get at least 60, but usually 80 grams of protein a day. Aim for less than 25 net carbs, but have wiggle room up to 50 net carbs a day.

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

So, yesterday we had "early dismissal" from work. We got to leave at 3 because it was the day before a holiday. I need to run a few errands, one of which was to the mall. Not ready to buy new clothes yet, I had to try something on just to see what size jeans I could get into. Well, I am HAPPY to report, I was able to put on a size 16 (regular department) pair of jeans. They were a little snug, but they zipped!! Feels good to know that my next new purchase of jeans will not be from the plus size department! YAY! Glad to see everyone's success!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

I'm in! This is my first challenge as well. CW: 214.2 Goals during challenge: * lose 24.2 so that I am at 190 * exercise more * 80 grams of Protein a day * drink more "plain" Water and less "doctored" water * don't let the "cheats" sneak back in Good luck everyone!
  23. During my pre-op, I limited knowledge to focus on myself and preparing. I was self pay so I had a short time (about a month) between scheduling surgery and my surgery date. Most coworkers only knew I went on medical leave, but didn't know more than I was having surgery. Sleeved April 24th. My post-op approach is this: 1. Person comments about my weight loss, I say "thank you" and move on. 2. Person asked what I am doing to lose weight, I am usually honest that I had WLS. Most people are like, wow. Then, they ask questions, etc. I am not ashamed of my decision. If people want to judge me for making a decision to save my life, that is their prerogative. They can talk behind my back all they want...in my opinion, that makes them look like a bad person. And, those that know that see my lifestyle should realize it is not the easy way out.
