Machele, I am 4 days post-op and at this point not so sure what I have done to myself. I have the same pulling pain in my incisions and they are placed in the same area. I am having pain in my chest when I take deep breaths and thats a little scary. are you on mushy foods yet. I tried sweet potatoe cassarole and it didn't go down to well, so I am afraid to try anything but liquids. How long did it take you? DID ANYBODY FEEL LIKE THIS??? -

I know every thing will be o.k. when I read all the good things you all have to say about Dr.K. Just wanted to ask how many of you took his advice about the suppository ( not sure if thats the correct spelling) Not sure what to do about that?:omg: Was the office hard to find, my appointment is at 3:30 and the plane gets in about 12:30 I don't want to be late. -

Hey Machele, I know how your feeling, I have my surgery scheduled for the 21 of this month and I am getting really nervous to. Hopefully all will go well for both of us and before to long will be like the incredable shrinking woman.:bounce:I was thinking about trying to find a spa close by and getting a facial or pedicure the day after the surgery, if I feel up to it. If any of you from denver read this maybe you could suggest some place. -

Hello to everyone, its been a couple of weeks since i have posted anything, but have been doing some reading of all the post, congrats to sunnysea, I'm going to have my surgery the 21 of this month and i am starting to get nervous. Just wondering if any of you felt mixed emotions about getting the band. I totally feel this is right for me and that i finally will have success, but I have been feeling like I failed because I couldn't control my weight and its gotten to this point that I am spending my last dime to have this done. I am not used to spending money on myself. With having 2 small kids any extra money goes for them. I also wanted to ask Dynomini about what me and my sister can do the time we are in Denver. We fly in on the 20th and go home the 23rd.but since my sister is coming with me for support I want to take her some where fun the night before my surgery. Any Ideas since you have lived there so long. And to those of you who are already banded is the first week as hard as it seeems? -

Hi everybody can't wait to be banded, but now that i have mine scheduled I am starting to get nervous. Some of the questions I have been wondering about. How bad is the pain after the surgery? I have heard that there is alot of gas pain, can you take something for it? What kind of pain meds do you take I can't imagine having to swallow a pill after surgery? And finally what are the instructions that they give you the day before? Can you tell that I am one of those people who worry way to much... :help: -

Just wantes to introduce myself to all of you. I just scheduled my surgery with Dr.K for March 21 and I am excited to start this journey and a little bit scared. I have sent a couple of private messages to Kristen and want so thank her for being so helpful. I really think its great how friendly and helpful everyone seems to be on this site. My sister is going with me, but was wondering to those of you who already had the surgery. How long till you could be active. I have a two kids 3 and 5 and I have my own cleaning buisness and didn't know how much time to take off work. Any ideas?? -
this is my first day posting and I have been researching lap band surgery for a couple of months and want to have it done but I only have enough money to get it done in Mexico. I was Wondering if any one had surgery in Guadalajara by Dr. Nelson Rodriguez Huerta
-
This is my first time posting anything. I have been doing research on the lap band for about a month and totally confused on which doctor you can trust. I am definetly going to have the surgery in Mexico because it fits into my budget. Wondering if anyone has heard of Dr. Nelson Rodriguez Huerta. He is in Guadalajara and performs the surgery at San Jose Hospital. Is it normal for them to ask for money before the surgery? If anyone could help me??
