Yes I ate regularly, always protein I made sure to keep my portions small and I did cardio workouts on Monday Wednesday and Friday for 45 minutes. It wasn't easy to loose that much that fast but I was dedicated to the life change.

Sleeved May 1st and I have already lost 75 pounds. SW 315 CW 240 GW 215. I have started getting the comments " dude you need to stop loosing weight" never thought I would ever here those words. Sometimes it feels good to hear, and sometimes I feel like saying " how could you say something like that?" it is amazing to me how some people don't understand how difficult this journey is to start and how hard it is to reach your goals. I would like to encourage everyone to keep fighting and reach your goals regardless of what everyone else is telling you. Live healthy.

What Is Something You Can't Stop Eating Even After Surgery?
Zino replied to Karen2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually waited until week 8 to start eating jerky (jacks links w/chalula) but everyone will be different. If it bothers you wait a few more weeks to try it again. -
MinaT you are awesome and an inspiration to everyone here. We are all cheering for you. I know how you feel, I lost a close friend several years ago that was dealing with the same issues. Lupus is a mean disease, but I know you are strong enough to beat it. Hang in there, our prayers are best wishes are with you.

What Is Something You Can't Stop Eating Even After Surgery?
Zino replied to Karen2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me it is beef jerky. Well actually deer jerky. -
Yes it happens. Don't weigh yourself every day. I know it is hard not too, since we have invested so much into this. The weight will come off. Weigh in about once a week. Also measure yourself. Usually of you have stalls in weight loss you can see loss of inches which is just as encouraging. Hang in there and be patient.

Protein Shake Question
Zino replied to scaredoftheunknown's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same here, I had the same for my preop diet. I supplemented with vegetables, no corn, potatoes, or peas though. That is what my nutritionalist told me. Good luck, I know the waiting can be a lot to bear. -
The times I feel dizzy is because of dehydration or too much coffee (caffine). If it persist get it checked out

Happy Anniversary To Me (June 7Th)
Zino replied to brol1k's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am the same height and when I was at 315 I could ride everything except the ones that have the pull down metal cages where your feet hang below you. And even then it was just a barely. You are an inspiration and have done amazingly well. It just goes to show you that you should set your own goals and not listen to other peoples goals they have for you. Keep up the good work and go enjoy 6 flags, you have earned it. -

Anyone Else Feel Like They Will Suddenly Not Lose Any More?
Zino replied to Chimera's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I think we all have these feelings from time to time when we hit the "stall wall". I just try to focus on exercise and eating right, and try not to focus so much on the scale. I know it is easier said than done, which is why I say that tongue and cheek. Hang in there -
Feeling Down, Obsessing Myself To Crazy Town
Zino replied to SlowLossingGal's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm with the others on the gatorade issue. My doctor and nutritionalist told me to only use Gatorade zero or preferably water. I find ice water in a glass more enjoyable than in a bottle. Also when I have times of thinking about food I find a project or something to keep me busy so I don't think about food. Seems to work well for me but I know everyone is different. -

Why Can't I See Me The Way Everyone Else Does Now
Zino replied to Supersweetums's topic in The Lounge
I have some of the same issues. I am still losing (70 lbs) I have a picture of myself before surgery and a current picture of my progress next to each other. I look at them every day when I get up, and feel better about my progress knowing that it is a new journey that I take every day. Just keep telling yourself you deserve to be healthier and happier every day, and believe it. -

Well I started this jouney on December 11, 2011 with my initial visit. I did 3 months of weighins (don't know if that is how you spell that). I completed the requirements of an EKG, Heart MRI, Upper GI, Bloodwork during those 3 months. My surgery was approved by my insurance company the first submission on March 22, 2012. I have a surgery date set for April 30, 2012 at Innova Hospital in San Antonio. Once i got approved my doctor ordered more blood work and another EKG, now my EKG has come back as borderline ECG. Now i have to go see a cardiologist. I hope this doesn't set my surgery date back. Has anyone else had this happen?
-
Thanks for the replies. Have meeting with the Cardiologist tomorrow so I will see how it goes.

I would pressure your doctors office. I had my Aetna approval in 5 days from submittal. I had a BMI of 38 with HBP and Sleep Apnea.
