Coops did you see the program 'The Unbreakables' on BBC3 it was filmed at my college. You can get it on iplayer, worth watching. I'm not sure if BBC iplayer is available oversees, if you can get it watch the series (3programs) and see what amazing people I work with. -

Holiday over!!! We had an 8 day all inclusive cruise on the Rhine (great food and ever flowing drinks) followed by 3 days in Amsterdam. It was all great and Amsterdam was so pretty and I'm sure I will go back there again. Got on scales and it as up as expected, all crap removed from house and no wine in. It is going to be a tough couple of days. One important thing I have realised is that my Water consumption is way down and I have to think of a way to fix that, especially when I'm at work. I'm lucky in that I'm not back in work until 1 Sept so I need to use these next couple of weeks to get back on track with the exercise and water. Hope everyone is well -

Florinda, I'm 5'3" too and I've slipped back into the obese range.????????In my case it is my own fault (too many snacks and drinks) but I can see that you are really trying and it must be so hard. I hope that you get an appointment with someone soon and that they can offer suggestions and answers. XX -

Sheryl, glad to hear that your labs were clear. Too bad if it is infection but that is at least relatively easily treatable. Florida, I presume the numbness is your MS, are you on any medication for this at present. Your art sounds amazing, my husband likes to buy a piece of art when we travel so that it reminds him. The art isn't necessarily relevant to the region but he always remembers where he brought it. I should photo and post his latest buy (we are in Germany), it is being courieried back for us as it would not fit in hand luggage. I too think that veteran and maintenance are not necessarily the same people. The 'vets' who continue to post seem to have had a different WLS journey to someone who had the surgery, lost Xlbs in Y months and seems to have little or few issues with maintenance so far. Ask them again in 2 or 3 years. -

Coops I'm off on holiday too tomorrow. Kevin and I are taking a river cruise down the Rhine. He has had a stressful few months so a relaxing holiday is on the cards. I don't have any bikinis to wear, the thought just makes me shudder. But you coops you have the figure for it, so go get em girl. Come back lovely relaxed and brown. -

I mainly use an iPad to access and the chat function does not appear. Plus the time difference, I do not think it would work for me. -

Talking of live music I saw Tom Jones in concert last night. Went to horse racing in York ( came out ahead!) then Tom Jones had a concert on the race course. It was really good and approx 40,000 people there. Tom is older but still great performer and of course Coops he is Welsh!! Weight is up a bit ???????? but I'm drinking too many of my calories. Going to Oxford tomorrow as my sons graduation is Monday. Proud Mum. -
Live in UK and it is amazing how we do not appreciate what we have got. London is something else, you visiting any other cities? Oxford is out of this world and we have the most amazing cities and villages - such history just there.

I only own domestic animals and they are enough responsibility so the care and responsibility of your horses must be huge. -

I'm glad you shared your medical issues, hope it has helped. Others might of had/have similar issues and might be able to offer practical or personal experiences. You talk lots about your horses and your life around them and it is obviously a life you enjoy so I would be wary of giving it up. Perhaps the emotional issues are colouring decisions so take time and care. Like Florinda mentioned I have seen animals used in therapy and it is amazing the response they get from some of our students. -

Denise, what surgery do you need now? Is it to correct the last one. I hope it is approved soon and that you get some relief from your pain. Florinda, sorry I don't know anything about counting fat in a diet. When good I try to keep the protein high and the carbs low. When bad anything seems to go. -

Like coops I read every single day, many threads, but I don't always post. The weight gain has zapped my confidence a d I feel like I'm back on the gain, lose, gain lose roller coaster but the gains are exceeding the losses so it is going up. I wish re were a bit closer to each other coops then we could meet up and we accountable to each other with direct eye contact. You off work coops? I pulled my back a bit when my trainer was here last week so I stopped the exercise for a few days, back is fine now but I'm finding it hard to get back into it. I know I'm making excuses to myself and I too need a kick up the bum. Lipstick lady writes as she sees it and it doesn't go down well with some people. I don't recall the other person. It's true we are not a 5:2 follower group anymore, some try others have stopped but I do think we are a support group. People have shared a lot and I do think we have to be careful who we allow in. If it became confrontational some of those who do post (even now and then) might stop. I do wish we could get hold of some of the people who stopped, Brown etc.. It's going to be the hottest July day for 9 years so I had best go and slap on some sun cream before work. -

Gained most of my weight back
UK Cathy replied to frumpy69's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Sleeved April 12, I never reached my goal (set by me) and I have been struggling with weight gain. I know though how it is happening and I feel for those who follow a strict diet and exercise regime. I need to get back to basics.
