Sheryl, glad that surgery went well, hope you get help with the pain. Kim you write something such marvellous things which really resonate. Me I'm on holiday for the weekend, at the beach with my dog and husband (not necessarily in that order). You will know it Coops we are at Lily Ponds at Bosherton. We love it here, tonight we were on South Beach in Tenby - dog thought she had died and gone to heaven. Too much wine and good company ... -
CanonBaby sad to hear that Dave is back in hospital. XX keep us posted.

Great to hear from you Florinda, glad you had a GOOD time with your mum. You have made great memories with her and they will be with both of you forever. Did you ever find that perfect cappuccino in the States? I suppose you have been spoiled with the amazing Italian ones and you are going to be comparing everything to them for some time. I'm on half term break and for some reason we have been given 2 weeks when it is usually 1. You got 1 week Coops? Anyway I'm not complaining and I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet. I might even do my Christmas shopping. We are really quiet on here at the moment, hope everyone is well. -

Sheryl a big {{hug}} for you. I know it is real hard. They were a part of our lives and we really love them. I have spent the weekend with mum. I sent her dog away for 2 weeks training and she came home this weekend. The trainer has done marvellous things and I'm grateful. I think he now needs to take the mum away and train her!! Love be her she is 84 and change is hard. I have spent the last 2 days trying to repeat what the trainer said and it is so hard for her to get. She is using different words and confusing the dog. I think even I ended up confused. A problem with a WC meant I spent an extra night do I could get a plumber. An extra night I could do without but hey mum comes first. Early shift tomorrow so I need my sleep. XX -

Sheryl, horrible decision to make. It would seem that the dog has reached its natural end but again we don't want to say when. I know it was horrible when I had to make the decision on the cat recently. It felt bad but I knew it was the right decision too. XXX -

Thanks for the link Kim - need to do and want to do it as I need to de- carb. I just need my head in the right place. I'm just over the 200 mark and I want my weight to start with a 1. It seems to be a right psychological barrier. It was the same when I lost 1st time, I went into a stall for many weeks at 200. All in my head I would like to be think but really it is on my hips! -

Sarah and Denise - great news from both of you. Sarah your stress levels must have gone down a bit. The looming operation must be of concern of course but one day at a time. Denise so glad the back is healing, you must be delighted to get back to exercise, don't over do it! One day at a time for you too. Florinda, when do you start your trip? Happy weekend everyone. -

All sounding good Sheryl, you must post pre and post pictures when it is complete. Florinda, I'm loving my new instant pot. It is a multi cooker and I tend to use it as a pressure cooker. My favourite recipe so far is one that comes out somewhere between a Soup and a stew. It involves chicken, veg (carrots, celery and onion), tinned tomatoes and spices and pearl barley. I have done the same combo with different spices and we love it. Favourite combo so far is paprika and 5 spice - very earthy. As there are only 2 of us at home I make a batch and freeze at least half of it for next time. Soups have also come out good too. Getting used to new rota and how to fit exercise in as well as family commitments. I think it will be fine, not a great loss (2lb) but not going up. I love my job and my students but when we change the clocks next month it is going yo be hard to be out walking the dog in the cold and dark at 6.15 am before work! Denise how is the back? When will you be released to start minimal exercise? -
Julie I don't know you but be glad in the knowledge that you took care of him, that will be a blessing for you when you look back. Prayers offered for you and your family ( hope this causes no offence) XXX

Sarah, sorry to hear about your Dad. It must be tough. If you don't want to go and talk to someone just pen your thoughts here. We're good listeners. if you just want to get everything out and not want advice just say and we will butt out. I have never suffered from full blown depression, do have down times, but my son does and I can really empathise with you. He is going through a bout now and it is so hard being on the outside looking in. Denise, my bi-vocals are like that too, the reading part isn't good anymore. I think my reading vision has improved with age! It is on my to do list to have a new test. Don't you be bending down now to look for those glasses. Sheryl is the horse you sold the one that went to a friends for boarding and you quite recently brought back? Autumn is fast approaching and it was nice to crunch some leaves underfoot today. I love this weather not too hot or too cold and dry. I also treated myself to the pressure cooker I was looking at for a while and I love it, stews made in no time but taste like they have been cooking all day. It is going to be useful for me as I now do 10 hr shifts (7-5) on a Wednesday and Thursday so I won't want to be slaving over a stove when I get in. Coops how's school going so far. Our new students are lush, hard work physically but I do so enjoy getting to know them. -

Florinda is this ongoing treatment or just for a specific set time? I injected heparin after my VSG op and thought I could never do it but I did. Are you expecting any side affects? Thinking of you and sending cyber hugs XX -
