4 months post op and preggo!

This has happened to a few ladies on here recently. Do a search and you will be able to make direct contact with them and they can give you some reassurance and specific help. Congratulations.

    My new Journey

Welcome Rocio, your journey so far has been fast. Did you do a lot of research first, if you did not have time then use this site to get answers to questions. There is a search facility and lots of answers - you will find that the same questions come up on a regular basis. I would suggest that you look at the following to get started 3 week stall Depression after surgery/buyers remorse What to eat on purée/soft diet stage If you do have any questions then just post them and you will find that there are lots of helpful people on this site who have lots of experience. There is one thing I would urge you to do and tat is to take your measurements, you will find periods when the scale does not move and when this happens recheck your measurements and you will find you have lost inches. Also claim this weigtloss journey for yourself and do not try to compare yourself to others and their weigtloss, you will ALWAYS find someone who loses faster than you and if you compare yourself it is easy to get down. Your body will lose weight at the rate that is best for you - keep on mind that your journey may take longer than you think. Again welcome, this is a brilliant site. Cathy

    Where are the 50s ???

Hi Mary, glad you are feeling OK and getting your liquids in. Do try to get an exercise routine started as it will help you in the long run. I joined a gym (never thought I would ever write that down), it is for women only and all ages, shapes and sizes go so I feel comfortable. I joined 2 months post op but before then I used to get the walking in by taking the dog out.
  6. I eat Greek yoghurt for breakfast (add raspberries) and do feel full after it. It is funny how different we all are and how our sleeves react to different foods.

    So Disappointed In Myself :(

Measure yourself as you will find that when the scales are not going down the inches are! Also try not to compare yourself to others who are posting, this is your journey - take ownership of it.

    Surgery In Belgium

Try WLSurgery.com which is a Uk site, they have a section on the sleeve. I went to Czech Rep with Cosmetic Bliss. Check out their web site too.
  9. I added my protein powder, this resulted in extra protein and flavour.

    Onderland!

Well Done, I have just realised that I am just 1lb away! Here in the UK we do not tend to use just lbs to indicate our weight, we use stones and lbs (1 stone =14lb) so I am 14st 4lb which is 200lbs. I don't know why we use stones but I think it is something agricultural (sacks of potatoes rings a bell)

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

This thread makes me feel normal. Sleeved 3 April and down 63lb. I am happy with this as I am an older sleeves (53). Sometimes when I read some other threads I feel totally inadequate eg. "I am 2 months out and I have only lost xlb what am I doing wrong" in some cases the x is almost what I have lost in total. At the beginning of my journey I used to gt down when reading this type of post but I gave myself a talking to and decided to claim my journey for myself. I will lose at a rate that is suitable for me and I will not compare myself to others. I thought tht the weigtloss would take 1 year but I think it will be 15 months now. I want to lose 100lb.

    I'm Really Nervous Right Now

I know it might not be the solution you are looking for but have you considered freezing some of your eggs for use in the future if you do have any trouble with your remaining ovary.

He Might Be The Best Ever!

You have a lovely, caring man.
  14. I have just had my 6 month post op bloods back and everything appears fine except that the doctor advises that my cholesterol level is a bit high (5.9). Can anyone recommend any foods I can use (keeping in mind protein first) that may help to reduce this level.

Help! I Am On A Bender

Me too! I have had more carbs the past week and I am craving more. So from today I am back on my program of more protein and less carbs.

Hi, I'm nearly 7 months out and 4st 2lb down. I'm a shorty (5ft 3in) and I'm aiming for a 100lb loss. Live in Cheltenham. I still have 1 Protein drink a day and buy my Protein powder from myprotein.com. They have loads of flavours and tell taster sizes.

    Closing Account

I don't know how to delete your account-perhaps you could just delete the app from your phone/computer. Congratulations on your 100lb loss, that is my goal. I know what you mean about people getting fixated with numbers. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

    Where are the 50s ???

My hair loss started at about 3 months out and for one month seemed to be quite fierce. It is much better now and has slowed down a lot. I did cut my hair shorter so that the amount of hair lying around was not so noticable.
