Go back to tracking evrything that goes into your mouth, food and liquid. I think that once we get a few months out we get a bit complacent -we look better and we fit into clothes we haven't fitted into in years etc and we take our eye of the ball a bit. Keep the Fluid and exercise up and any treats down. Big congratulations on your weight loss so far -keep looking in that mirror and giving yourself praise.

still struggling to get in protein after 3 mths
UK Cathy replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Add your protein powder to the Greek yoghurt to up the protein level. When your first add it the mixture turns really thick but keep stirring and it thins out. I use this if I feel my protein levels are low. -
Breast meat is drier than thigh or leg meat and that might be the problem, do you eat it with a sauce?

Wish you well, thoughts and prayers are with you. -
Try having the liquid first, 30 min break then the protein. I find it works better this way round.

Lost 70 lbs, feel the same
UK Cathy replied to KikiCC's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Some people say it takes a while for the mind to catch up with the physical situation. Why don't you take some trousers you wore pre-op and put them on while looking in a mirror. They surely will be way too big so seeing that physical difference may get the message into your mind. Just a suggestion. -

How I Saved My Life! New Member Story
UK Cathy replied to BeverlyW's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well done you for getting back on track and getting your weigtloss going again. Can I ask a question, how is your restriction? You say you did not lose for 1 year is that because you ate more food or different types? I am 91/2 months out and this past month have stalled but must admit that I had more carbs over the Christmas period. I too am trying to get back on track. Best wishes for the next part of your journey and call in the forum regularly for support. Cathy -

70lb in 9 months for me, currently been as same weight for 3 weeks. Cheri you have been my inspiration on these boards as you post regularly and your story really does motivate and inspire me. I want to lose 100lb and I thought it would take me 12 months but looks more like 15 now. But hey if it take 18 or more so be it. -
Any New Uk Sleevers Out There?
UK Cathy replied to Scottishlassie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I use impact whey protein, I find vanilla is good and when I want a change I add a small amount of instant coffee to it and it is lush. I particularly like the choc mint but I do have a sweet tooth. I do not know the sugar content but all the nutritional values are indicated on the web page. You should get tasters as what I like you might hate. -

UK Cathy replied to JimmyGotSLEEVED's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well done 15K keep it up. -
Well done! You have said all the things I have been thinking these past weeks. I have had thoughts about posting something similar, but you have nailed it. Thank you. If we see anyone posting things they should have researched we should direct them to this post.

Did you do your op in the UK or overseas? I went overseas to chezch rep, 9 months out and 70lb down. No movement this past month but partly my fault as over Christmas period I had too many carbs. New year and new push forward now. I want to lose 100lb. Well done on your tremendous loss and thank you for posting as lots of people look for posts where sleevers are more than 1 year out.

My 6 months post op bloods showed that all my levels were fine.

9 months out....slow loser
UK Cathy replied to Muffin18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved 3April 2012 and loss is 70lb. I know it is hard when you look at some postings on here and see the weight just drop off people in a short time but most of the time you do not know the full story. I know my loss is slow but I am OK with that (it took more than 9 months to go on) and I am eating in a normal pattern (just less), eat out and have treats. I have joined a gym and my shape is changing. When I started this journey I thought it would take me 1 year to lose the weight (100lb) but now I think it will take 15 months. I find it hard to get all my water in and I don't think this helps with the rate of loss. Give it one more big push, protein first the veg then carbs, drink and exercise and see how it goes. Good luck. -

March/April 2012 Sleevers
UK Cathy replied to Spirit Fire's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery 3 April, 70lb down and 30lb to go. It is slow but sure - no movement in Dec but I think tht could be my fault, too much snacking. I'm going to get back down to business on New Years day. This thread makes me feel normal as when I read other threads where people say they have lost 100lb in 3 months etc I get that little nagging beast in my brain saying "well you haven't done as well as them". It happens less now because I have told that "beast" that this is my journey and my body WILL lose the weight but it will take all the time it needs. I did think before surgery that my journey would take 1 year but it looks more like 15 months now but I'm OK with that. -
Do any of you use a vibroplate in your exercise program? I go to the gym 3 times a week and will continue o do so because i have paid in advance but I saw a new year sale or a home version and wondered if they re any good.

?B12 Deficiency - Not well and don't know what to do.
UK Cathy replied to cookie2012's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
if you feel so bad maybe you should go to the hospital and let them check you out. As you are so far out it may be nothing at all to do with your sleeve and you need a check up. Keep us informed. -
A machine that vibrates and exercises your muscles, you stand on the plate or take different poses and different sets of muscles are exercised. You only use it for 10-15 mins and it is supposed to be the same as a full gym workout. You might call them something different in the US, I live in UK
