How was your 5:2 day today?

The week of relatives and eating out took its toil but I reigned it in over the weekend resulting in my weigh- in today being exactly the same as last week. I'm pleased with this and so it is a 'normal' week this week. I'm on my summer break from work (return 1st September ) and I think I prefer to be in work when it comes to controlling what I eat. Work is so busy that I don't have time to think about food. I only work part time but the days at home are busy in that there are jobs to be done. At the moment there seems to be too much spare time. I will have to look out some of those boring jobs that I have been meaning to do for some time - maybe I could sort out the wardrobe and drawers and get rid of anything that does not fit. Today could be a fast day if I want, just haven't decided yet.

How have you found maintenance? This seems the period most people are having 'trouble' with.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Well the relatives have gone now so hopefully I can have a fast day today. Water and coffee so far but it is only 10:10am. I just got to stay focused and fight the carb devil because I have had a few of them over the last few days. It looks like it might be a bit quiet on here next week as a few go away. Enjoy your holidays ladies, forget about the scales. Those of us who are left will have to log on more to offer encouragement and support.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Unexpected guests arrived yesterday (they phoned Monday to arrange) and are staying until Friday. They do not know about op so it looks like my fast days are going to be restricted - if they happen at all. Guess My aim will be not to put any on this week and if I achieve that I should be happy. That's life though full of little surprises.
  7. What a blessing, congratulations. I remember all your postings when I was looking at this site nearly 2 yrs ago before my sleeve and I was collecting all the info. It is good to get a follow up. Enjoy your pregnancy.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Busy food weekend but calories kept to 1500 each day. Weekly weigh gives me loss of 1lb, the lower number I saw after my fast day did not reappear unfortunately but I do know it is there because I have seen it! It is 10.30 and I haven't decided whether to do a fast day today or not. I have a lot of flexibility this week as I am on my own til Friday morning but I will have to be careful to stay focused. I will have to log in each day to make myself accountable.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Fast day yesterday and came in at 530 calories plus a margarita !! (naughty, naughty). The scales today show the lowest number I have seen on this journey - don't want to write it down incase I jinx it. I know there will be a bounce back today but I live in hope of writing down a lower number than last week when I report my weekly weight on Monday. Off now to mooch around Gloucester docks with dear MIL (who is so much better), we will more than likely stop for a coffee while we look at the boats then off to an open air production of round the world in 80 days tonight. There is a group going and it is a bring and share supper so I can take things I like along. Hope everyone has a good day or has had one if you are reading this in your evening.
  13. Proudgrammy, congratulations for maintaining your weightloss and for now leading the life you knew was waiting for you. Your posts are always positive and encouraging for everyone, thank you.

    Rapid Fill

How was the chicken cooked? It must be really moist. Also you must chew well. Try something softer and revisit chicken in a week or 2. It does get better and in just a few months time you will look back at this post and wonder what you was worried about.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Feed day yesterday, came in at 1350 calories but protein only 60 so I will have to keep an eye on that. Yesterday morning after my fast day the scales said 2lb down but I did not claim it as we all know how those scales bounce. Fasting today scales say 1 up on yesterday, so far only water (it is 9.20am here). I am just going to do my exercise program then I will have a protein shake. Nothing too exciting planned for today but I should do something to get me out of the house otherwise the fridge or cupboards might start shouting out to me. I think I like it better when my fast days are Tues and Thurs as I feel more in synch with others, the beauty of this 5:2 is that next week they can be.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Fast day today and 505 calories logged on mfp. I found it hard though as I am on holiday from work and I seemed to have a lot of time on my hands. When I am in work I am usually so busy I have to force myself to get time to eat. It is going to be like this for the next 6 weeks so I am going o have to find a better coping mechanism for fast days. I had better look out some cross stitch which I haven't done for a few years.
  17. As always Cheri good advice. You write so clearly and eloquently, it is a real breath of fresh air.
  18. Thanks for sharing the whole story and you are remarkable for sitting out the long 'stall'. It won't be ltoo long before you are posting in the success forum.

Yesterday started as a fast but changed as it was a training day at work and they put out all the goodies given by our lovely parents as appreciation of looking after their beautiful Children.I work in a residential college for disabled students: natstar.ac.uk (pls look it up). Anyway all chocolates etc accounted for I came in at 1350 calories, 70g protein. Another training day today so I will leave the fast until tomorrow when I start my 6 week break.

    can your stomach stretch

I'm 15 months out and I can eat so much more than I could at 6 months. I still eat protein first but there is room for extras now. I have to be very careful what those extras are.

How far out are the people you are comparing yourself with? You will find that as the months pass you will be able to eat a bit more.

Any New Uk Sleevers Out There?

Have you had any blood tests post op to heck your levels etc to make sure you are getting everything. I had mine at 6 months and 12 months. Not sure exactly what they checked for but I do know I asked them specifically to check my b12. Everything was fine and I don't have to check again until 2 yrs post op. I had my op in April 12. I take multivitamin, b12 and biotin each day.
  24. Restart last Monday, weighing weekly so will post stats then.
