How was your 5:2 day today?

Ladies you don't know what you are missing, lambs liver is delicious and it makes the most amazing tasty gravy, it is soft, easy to digest and a good source of iron. I suppose I have just been brought up with it.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Fasted yesterday and came in at about 570, I was really hungry lady night though. Scale shows a small reduction in the weight which is good as I have to shed the weekend indulgence. I am sitting here waiting for PT to arrive so that should get rid of a few of today's feast calories. The weather has changed here in the UK and tonightI want something warming so thinking about a nice casserole or some lovely liver and bacon.

Well I survived the weekend and really enjoyed it! scales today show how much I appreciated it, well tomorrow is a fast day. Thank you ladies for your good wished re my anniversary. Swizzly and LV enjoy your trips. M2G I have been reading about your atrocious weather, hope you are keeping well and dry and that the worst is over. Today was such a hard day in work but i survived it and did not turn to extra food in my moments of stress which is really good in itself. looking forward to fasting.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Well yesterday started out as a fast day but somehow or other ended up as half a fast (770 calories) and I don't have the days to getting another fast before my Monday weigh in. I have a special weekend planned with my family - I'm off to London. My husband and I have been married 30 years (pearl) on the 17th, we did not want a party but instead we are having a special weekend with our 2 boys. Tonight we are going to dinner in Gaucho's which is an Argentinian steak house situated right on the Thames and tomorrow we are off to see the Mousetrap. All quite exciting - I'm sure there will be plenty of eating and drinking this weekend so the weigh in Monday might not be too good. Well we most probably won't Celebrate another anniversary in A big way for 10 more years so I will accept a little gain. What will e nice tonight is that I can dress up and feel good about the way I look, couldn't do that 88lbs ago. Hope everyone is well, having a good day whether you are fasting or feasting.
  5. I don't have too many now but I make them up with water. I think that some people make them up with milk.
  6. I do a mixture of cardio and weights (approx 30 mins), routine prescribed by PT, 4 times per week

How was your 5:2 day today?

Fasted yesterday and came in at 535, nothing too strenuous on today so should be able to be 'good'.
  8. Google and as VSG is not as popular in the UK yet (it will become so I'm sure) I wanted an active site and stumbled on you guys and I am really glad I did. I mainly just read posts and got lots of info before surgery, came a little bit more active after surgery and now hang out with the vets and get all their great experiences and support.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Another week and return to work last week was good. I have managed to drop another lb this week and I am liking this 5:2 as it fits into my everyday life well. I can have my fast days when I am at work and then weekends are unrestricted. My husband works away in the week so it is good that I can get my fast days out of the way when he is not here. Georgia you have done fantastic on the 5:2 and I hope to do the same. I have another 12lb to get to my personal goal (100lb) and then I will have a think.
  10. Another 1lb this week, now 175lb, total loss on 5:2 so far is 6lb. It seems to be working for me. I don't know if Monday weigh in is good though as it is after the weekend indulgences! I did see a lower number on the scale on Friday so I know it is achievable.

    Can't Break This Stall

Have you tried working out your percentage loss, that figure might be more pleasing eg if you want to lose 60lb and you have lost 30 then you are 50 per cent there. Be very careful about comparing yourself to others on here who seem to lose vast amounts very quickly, very often you don't know start weights and people's circumstances etc. I am a slow loser by my six month I had lost 56 percent of what I want to lose (100lb), now at 17 months I am at 87 percent, slow but sure. Have you been a member of WW or any other slimming club and did you lose weight fast there or was you one of the slow ones? Me I was slow and I used to get quietly upset when others who joined the same week seemed to be streaks ahead within a short time. When I had this surgery I knew that the weight loss was for me and I could not spend all the time comparing myself to others. So take a deep breath, do the calculations, measure yourself or try on a piece of clothing you had at the beginning of your journey and see how far you have come. Track diligently, keep protein high and make sure you get in your liquids. Best wishes.
  12. Sorry Peggy but your recent outfit is far too big for you. A job for the weekend is to get out your machine and to make some alterations. Best wishes.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Sorry Globe I did not see your post about an attack. I really do hope that you are OK and that there were no casualties. I use an ipad to read my posts and I think if a post comes near the bottom of a page it is easy to be missed. I'm sure no one here would deliberately ignore you or your predicament. I did go back and look for the post and even after reading it it was your medical condition that stuck out and not the attack, sorry. It must be hard for you to concentrate on any eating plan when you are surrounded by so much turmoil and I take my hat off to you for your persistence. Glad you are safe.

How was your 5:2 day today?

I just logged my weekly weight and I am down another lb so I am happy. I go back to work today after the 6 week break and I am looking forward to it so I can get back into routine. I usually work part time but I am full time this week due to all the mandatory training I have to do. I work at a college for disabled young adults and I love my work. It is a residential college and new first years arrive next week and returning students the week after. It will be interesting to see people after the break to see if they think there is any change in me (only 1 person knows about op) as my weight has gone down by 2 lb during the break but the biggest change I feel is in my shape as a few inches lost. The 5:2 fits in well with work days as I am usually so busy food is the last thing on my mind. Taking my favourite berries, Greek yoghurt and oats with me for lunch. Hope everyone is having or will have a good day.
  20. Yeh 176 today so down another pound. I also go back to work today after the 6 week summer break so hopefully it will be easier to stick to 5:2, I do find it hard when out of routine.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Fast day yesterday and I came in at 562 cals, not bad but I only realised at the end of the day that my Protein was only 42. I should have planned the day before eating instead of logging after eating. I would have substituted the baby bels for a Protein Shake which would have increase the protein without increasing the cals. Lesson learned. No change in scales. Worked out with trainer this morning. Hope everyone has a good day.

    loosing to fast?

Eating very very little and exercising 5 times a day? This does not sound healthy at all. You must get in the Protein and maybe you need to talk to someone about your attitude to food. Wishing you well.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Wow, I was just going to log on a report on my weekly weigh in and how my weekend has been but it seems too trivial now. I find it amazing hope much love and support there is in this group for each other but how little love we seem to have for ourselves (me included). How did we get here? Is it our upbringing , a specific action or in our psyche? We seem to be able to offer ourselves to others - spouses/partners, children, parents, friends and family but put ourselves at the bottom of the food chain. I'm 54 and the only thing I have done just for myself in all those years is to have the sleeve, 16 months out and I still feel selfish about it at times- I took money from savings, I went abroad and immediate family was worried, I have to plan food and drink differently now etc etc. I find it hard to think that I am worth it. Anyway I lost the extra I put on last week plus an additional pound so I am happy. It is a public holiday here in he UK today (Monday ) so it is feast days all weekend. I'm going to fast tomorrow and I am looking forward to it. Exercise is oink OK. I have one more week of holiday then back to work, so looking forward to it as it has been a long summer break as we did not have a family holiday. Fast days are also easier when I am working. You are an amazing bunch of people. Sorry WE are an amazing bunch of people.
  24. 177lb for me today, that means I lost the weight I put on last week plus an additional pound (total of 4lb now, start July 17).

    I HATE working out!

Tessies, my copy of 30 day shred arrived yesterday and I watched the level 1 last night, looked OK. Did you do it for 30 days continuous or did you have rest days. Also, did you go up a level after 10 days or just when you felt comfortable? Did you lose any weight with 30 DS? Thanks.
