M2G that banana sounds delicious. Will you eat the next one frozen or will you let it defrost a bit, either way sounds good though. -
Can I join your table LV, my first recording today 3.75 on the elliptical, I know I won't do the 100 but anything I do is more than I did in Sept which was 0.

Fast day yesterday overran by quite a few calories. I caved in after a long day and has 2 glasses of wine. I think I will have a semi fast today to try and make up. Does that work? Waiting on phone call re interview, they said they would let me know today. -

Fast day today and it is going to be an interesting one. Another funeral today but this one is different to last weeks, this lady is elderly(86) and it is the natural end to her life. I have known her since I moved here 7 years ago and have been visiting her in her care home as she does not have any family. I have learnt so much from her and she has been a true witness to her faith. It has been a privilege to know her and I am happy that I could arrange time off work to say my goodbye (for now). Then this afternoon I have an interview! Yes they still interview the oldies. I used to teach in a mainstream college but when I moved here I decided to take a break but still wanted to be involved in education. I eventually got my job which is in a college for students with physical disabilities and my job is a mixture of care in the residence and education support in the classroom. The job I am going for is more a tutor roll so there is a teaching element as well as working on life skills with the student. It is a part time roll like I do now and in some ways is ideal. I have always looked at this job and thought yes I would like to do that but all the jobs advertised were always full time and this did not fit in with the rest of my life/responsibilities. Well the PT roll was advertised last week and I interview today. Fell so much more confident going in 90lb lighter. Will log in later and let you all know how it went. -

Congratulations, it will be nice to work in a job that you know you already enjoy. I'm sure you will be an enthusiastic instructor. -

Boo hoo, I just typed a long reply but when I pressed send it seems there was no internet connection and I lost it. It has been too long a day. It was supposed to be a fast but it came in as a semi one (800 cals). All because I mindlessly ate a couple of biscuits at work. I felt so stupid when I realised what I had done. Welcome back everyone who as been away/offsite/off plan (delete as necessary), you have all been missed. We need you here, everyone's input and support is necessary for us all. Georgia a new low how exciting. Coops I had a new low on the scales for 3 days in a row but did not claim it as it was not my 'official' weigh day (Monday). So what happens on the Monday the scales are up!! What a tease- at least I know it is waiting there for me. Though the weight I did record on Monday was a new low for me. -

Prayers for Bill's recovery and for strength for you to cope with this stressful situation. XX -
Ok I'm in - never thought I would do that. Not sure if I can manage 100 but will promise to do my best. I'm going on holiday 26th so it might be a short month. I will be using my elliptical. No need to take a guess on the name -Cathy.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Nice weekend, last one with youngest before he returns to uni next weekend. It has been a long summer though as he gets so much holiday (16 weeks). I will just get the house tidied and get used to my empty nest and he will be back- he has 3 x 8 week terms so he is here more than he is away. I shouldn't complain though as when he finishes he more than likely won't return here but go where the jobs are. Scales show my lowest so far so that is good, not as low as what the scale was showing at the weekend but that just gives me an incentive for this week as I know it is within my grasp. -

174 my lowest yet! Not as low as those scales were teasing me with at the weekend but my 'official' new low. -

Still here, 90lb down now, just 10 to go. Slow but sure. I'm using the 5:2 method as my weightloss had come to a complete standstill. You eat 'normally' on 5 days of the week and for the other 2 you stick to 500 calories. It's working. Congrats to you and hope you get to your goal soon. -
Where do I stop...goal weight related....

Good feast day yesterday, kept Protein high and carbs low. I had not done my exercise by 7pm but I gave myself a talking to and got on with it. So proud. This morning I saw a new low on the scale I know it will more than likely bounce up again before my official weigh in on Monday am but at least I have seen it and I know it is waiting there for me. So far so good today I have just cooked a full English Breakfast for the family I had sausage, egg, Beans and a small slice of toast (419 calories), I am stuffed and that will more than likely do me now until the evening meal. Hope everyone has a good weekend. -
Happy to finally be a part of this group. Thank you for the add! :)

Welcome, this a bunch of very supportive people. We all seem to be at the same point in our journey, we can see goal or we have seen it and it has slipped past. The 5:2 is not a fast weight loss process but I do believe it is one that I can live with for a long time. -

Good fast day yesterday, came in at 565 and I did a workout so I am pleased. Off to a funeral today (friend) so I hope I don't turn to emotional eating. Hope everyone has a good day. -

Feast day today and so far it is fine, rather an indulgent weekend though as we met up with friends we have not seen for 9 months. Carb monster is on the prowl so I am looking forward to fasting tomorrow. -

Scales say 176 today which unfortunately is 1lb higher than my lowest, however it is 1lb lower than my weight last Monday after my celebratory weekend. Another eating feast at the weekend as we met up with friends we haven't seen for 9 months, food is so integral to socialisation, but carbs featured highly so I have to get the carb monster under control. Looking forward to fasting tomorrow. -
Have you started an exercise program? This might help with toning up your body and giving it back some definition. Also exercise can help lift your mood too. Best wishes.

Yes Georgia you are right there has been too much feasting going on when it is a non fast day. It is not the calories, I can keep them down, it is the carbs. I justify to myself that I can have the biscuit (cookie) as the calories are not too high when I would do myself more good and have the equivalent calories in protein. It would keep me satisfied for longer too. I have slapped my hand and I am going to try harder. The holiday season will be here before we know it and I for one want to look and feel good then and also have a bit of wiggle room for the extra parties/meals/gatherings that occur. -
