How do you get ahold of Dr. Kelly now? Do you have numbers and his website?

May 23rd my husband and I flew from our hometown to San Diego California. Arriving at 11:30 at night we decided to get a hotel at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina and wait till the following morning to begin our journey to mexico. The Sheraton was only a couple of blocks away from the airport. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. About an hour after we arrived and were settled in our hotel room I received a call from Omar (Dr. Kelly's Coordinator). He was checking to make sure that our flight had arrived and to let us know that Cecy (Doctor Kelly's wife) would be picking us up at 11:00 a.m. The following morning we check out of our hotel room and waited in the lobby for Cecy to pick us up. She arrived around 11:40 a.m. in a white passenger van and picked us up. She was a little late but Omar kept in contact with us on her where abouts, so I was not concerned. Cecy was extremely nice and accomodating. 20 mintues later we were at the Mexican border. The van was searched at the border by the mexican border patrol. We didn't have to show our ID's to enter Mexico. As soon as we were through the border, we were off to the Oasis Hospital to meet Omar and Dr. Kelly. Once we arrived at the hospital we were greeted by Omar and he escorted us to the admission personal of the hospital. Dr Kelly was waiting for us in the lobby of the hospital. Check in was a breeze, only taking about 10 minutes. After we were admitted to the hosptial Dr. Kelly and Omar escorted us to our room and the testing began immediately. (Chest X-Ray, EKG, Urine Sample, and Blood Samples) Many Doctors and staff came in my room and introduced themselves. Xochilt was my first nurse at the Oasis, she was very nice and helpful. She was able to answer most of my questions, however she spoke very little english. She was able to start my IV with no problems. After all of my questions and concerns were answered by the hosptial staff and Doctor Kelly, I was ready for surgery!

Getting Sleeved tomorrow with Doctor Kelly!!

Looking back over the past 19 years I don't remember a day that has gone by that I have not been concerned about my weight. My weight started to fluctuate after I had my first child 19 years ago. Before pregnancy I was 105 pounds, always a small child & teenager. I have tried every diet imaginable; diet pills, gym memberships (yes that is plural), nutritionist and several personal trainers. If the word weight loss was involved I tried it. 2 years ago I began researching different types of weight loss surgeries. I narrowed it down to the gastric sleeve and the lap band. I met with a Bariatric Surgeon in Raleigh NC and he discussed both options in detail with me. After the discussion with the surgeon I knew that the gastric sleeve was the best option for me. The doctors office went over all the cost with me and what my insurance company would require. So this is where my journey begins! Appointments were set; lab work, sleep study, ultrasound of my stomach, upper GI, and several meetings with a nutritionist and a psychologist. Let me tell you after all of the those appointments I was exhausted! The results were back and everything was submitted to my insurance company, BlueCross BlueShield of NC. IT CAME BACK DENIED!! I was devastated!! I could not afford the out of pocket cost with the surgeon in NC! (estimate $25,000) I knew I wanted this surgery and I knew there had to be a way I could get it! After surfing the web I came across this website and began to read everyones experiences and costs. Mexico looked like the best option for me! I would have never even thought about going to Mexico to get this surgery performed but the price was GREAT and everyone's experiences were too! My next step was getting my husband and my two teenaged children's blessing! They did not take it very well when I first mentioned it. After MANY discussions and arguments they agreed that if the gastric sleeve surgery meant that much to me they were going to support me. My mother however, was NOT supportive at all! She said that if I went to mexico she would be very angry with me. So I decided not to tell her my final decision and just get it done and deal with her afterwards! Now to pick a surgeon! There seams to be a lot of wonderful surgeons in Mexico but I had to chose one! I decided on Doctor Kelly and scheduled my surgery with him for May 24th! I FLY OUT TODAY!

Just schedule my surgery with Dr Kelly!!!!! I don't know how to feel...excited or nervous! Anyone else going the same time!

I live in Jacksonville NC. My insurance denied me and I am going to Mexico on the 24th to get sleeved with Dr Kelly. Cost is $5500.

I am flying in on the 23rd, surgery on the 24th and fly home on the 28th with Dr Kelly. Nervous and excited all at the same time.

I have done a lot of research on both doctors but I am having a hard time picking one. Dr. Kelly was my first choice until I seen some adverse things about him on the internet. Can someone please tell me there experience with either doctor. I am looking to book the surgery in May?

Booked Dr. Kelly for May 24th! After speaking with him I feel so much more comfortable.
