Thanks everybody for your input. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who will be going thru this. madison it does make me feel a little better knowing that It's only been 4 weeks since I had surgery to go thru it again. Thanks again for all the encouragement, I really appreciate it.

Hello all, I was sleeved July 10, 2012. I'm doing really good. I have lost 23 #'s so far. I'm still getting used to my smaller stomach and how much or should I say how little I can eat. I'm still on puree for a few more days but I'm so ready to eat regular food. I've just started to exercise because I haven't really had much energy to do so. I'm going to enjoy my journey.

I was sleeved July 10th. I'm down 19 #'s and doing good. I am now on puree and coming up with a few ideas to keep myself from getting bored with what I'm eating. another week or so and I will be on regular food and boy am I ready. I will start working out tomorrow as I just have not had a lot of energy but I figure I have to start sooner or later so I start now. Congrats to all July sleevers. We're finally on the losers bench!

Thanks Randi. I'm not over eating or over full, I'm just really tired after I eat. I can't eat no more than 2 or 3 oz so I definitely don't go over that as I don't want to hurt myself. I'm just going to listen to my body and when I need to nap I will nap and hopefully soon enough I will have enough energy to start exercising instead of napping.

It's crazy, but after I eat, I get really sleepy and need a nap. I-) My stomach get this funny weird feeling while I eat, but I know it's my new stomach getting used to what I'm putting in it. I also get hot as if the furnace was turned on. I know this sounds so crazy, but what gives? Has anyone else experienced this?
-
Thanks Katie, that's what I'm doing, listening to my body and doing what it wants, that way I heal right. It's a new journey and I'm learning as I go to take things slow, I'm in no race, the finish line will be there when I get there just for me.

Thanks for responding. It sounds like that could be it. I'm 2 weeks out and like you I hope this don't last long because I can't continue to take a nap after every meal. That would look funny to those who are not privy to what's going on. hahaha.

How far out are you? I've noticed that if I feel a little hungry but I know I've eaten, then i take a gas x or tums and that seems to be the problem. I'm not really hungry just gassy or a little acid reflux. I'm only a week out though, so this may not be your problem.

CBT, I was fortunate enough not to have nausea at all. Didn't throw up once, so I'm very happy about that. I'm a week out from surgery. Everybody is different, so maybe you won't have nausea. happy recovery to all.

Frustrated With The Foods I Can Eat....
tjloser replied to bethnc1970's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, you're moving pretty fast. I'm only 6 days out, but the research and being on here all the time, this is the first time I'm seeing someone eat that kind of food so soon. When I get to the puree phase it's supposed to be at least 3 weeks. I'll be scared to mess something up by moving faster than that. But there is a lot of info out there on what sleevers can eat at each phase, so hopefully you find a little more variety. -
I had surgery Tue. and I got home Thur. and everything is going good. I have gas pains so just dealing with that. Trying to make sure I get my liquids in. hope everybody else is doing good.

Hey July Sleevers, I'm 3 days post-op and doing pretty good. A little gassy but I'll get pass that. Hope everyone is doing good.

I had my surgery July 10th. Learned that the Dr. had a hard time getting the tube down my throat. But other than that everything went well. No nausea or throwing up. The first day was spent in bed. I am a wimp when it comes to pain so I used the pump every 15 min. I had more discomfort that pain though. I did have a moment or 2 where I thought "What the heck have I done" but it passed and I was ready to start the healing process. The second day I started my liquid diet and was able to walk. No issues there. I was released Thurs. at 10am. So 2 days post-op and I'm doing fine other than a little gas. I just have to make sure I get enough fluids in because I do not want to get dehydrated. Well I'm tired and will rest now so I will keep posting how my journey is going.

Ok, I have to be at the hospital at 6am and it is now 2am and I can't sleep. My nerves are getting the better of me. Well they are going to put me out anyway so I guess I'll be ok. This day is finally here and I'm ready to start my new journey to a new me. I'm going to at least try to close my eyes now and will check back in as soon as I feel up to it. Happy journey to all u sleevers to come.

Well Tomorrow Is The Day
tjloser replied to victoriatxgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
victoriatxgirl I went to a support meeting and we learned a little about how to relax. Try to take a slow deep breath in and release it slowly and do this a couple of times and them appreciate that you have gotten to this point. A point to change what you can. -
