    Nuts!

I'm at 12 weeks (as of Thursday) and I get between 1K and 1100 per day. My weakness is nuts and nut butters. My protein and fluids are good, but the nuts keep calling my name. I think I may need an intervention

    Am I Eating Enough?

I enjoy 1 to 1 1/2 ounces of cashews or pistachios a day. This helps me to get my calories in. I am almost 9 weeks out and average about 800 calories a day. I supplement my protien with one 30 gram shake per day. Overall I get about 70 grams per day. My carbs are between 30 and 60 grams per day, and mostly come from dairy, beans or nuts. I get all my fluids in and feel great.

    Do You Hate Protein Powder/liquids?

Meijer also carries Choc and Vanilla in stores. Has anyone had success asking a store to special order the strawberry?

    Hostility? Why?

  8. I'm 7 weeks out. I went to a party tonight, and over the course of several hours consumed 1,000 calories according to MFP. That makes nearly 1400 calories for the day. My total protein was 113 and my carbs were 68. I'm still surprised that I could eat that much. I remember feeling frustrated that I couldn't eat more. Now I'm just stunned that I was able to eat as much as I did. Moral of the story: after 30 minutes of eating, just stop.
  9. Good for you!! Don't give up!

    Extra Long Tom

I have been on my period for FIFTEEN STRAIGHT DAYS. It seems to be increasing in heaviness at this point. Surgeon's nurse said that surgery affects our hormones. I think cramps are trying to return. BTW I am 7 weeks out today. Has anyone experienced this?
  11. I love my sleeve. Went to a BBQ today and ate the tiniest bites of everything. Got full! Didn't even think about dessert. Or drinking anything. It's working!

    Bbq 6 Weeks Post Op

You'll eat again! And you'll be grateful for every teeny tiny bite. Your relationship with food will change though. You will no longer stuff yourself for the fun of it or to comfort or entertain yourself ( not possible). But you will enjoy what you eat. BTW, I was hungry 2 1/2 hours after eating. Whoever heard of that??
  13. I don't bother with low fat either. We only get so many bites. Fat has flavor!

    Peanut Butter

I was eating pb at about two weeks as well.
  15. 13 days post op, allowed to have mushies. Waking up hungry, craving eating, just the physical act of eating. I'm happy with my foods: scrambled egg with bacon bits and cheese, refried beans with salsa and chobani yogurt. Just wishing I didn't experience any hunger or desire to eat. Sleeve feels fine. I eat between 500-600 calories a day, and am getting close to 50 grams of protein. According to surgeon's office, this is fine for now. I'm just having a hard time letting go.

    A Little Unclear

I was on clears for 5 days, and then advanced to purées/mushies for 1 month. I am now 3 weeks out and can handle dark meat chicken just fine.
