Everything said here is very true! I myself, do not have too much to lose...(from what other people tell me). I think I do. I'm 5' tall and am 180 pounds. I have been working in EMS for 14 yrs, and let me tell you, I see first hand what being over weight can do to a person!!!! Its not pretty. I just started my presurgery diet today,(i am 3 weeks pre) and these are my Drs instuctions; Take a Multivitamin with a mineral supplement cut out all Snacks. walk 20 minutes twice a day or 30-45 minutes once per day Substtute breakfast with one Protein shake per day. Eat a light lunch and a light dinner.No snacking day or night. I take the chewable Centrum Vitamins. When is your surg date? I can give you my diet instructions for the 2 week pre-op if youd like

Hey guys! Been looking for this! I'm 5' tall! I was doing really well on my peo-op. But last night I had hibatchi...i'm so angry with myself!! I am sched for May 5th. So I have about 3 more weeks to go. It seems the closer I am getting the more anxious I am getting, which is = my emotional eating. I'm not worried about the surg itself, I guess its just starting a "new" life? Ive had 3 different cancers since I was 27 (now 42). So, I am really going ahead with this to be a healthier person!! Back on the protein shake wagon thismorning!!!!

You know the ols saying, you can pick your friends...not your family????? Well, I finally told my (very thin) sister i was having the sleeve done. And she says point blank-"you will still be fat. your always chunky". Very motivating, huh? This is why I normally steer clear of her!!!

WOW!!! You guys are doing very well! my surg. isnt until May 5. I am an EMT who works 12 hour days, and I took 6 weeks off. I do alot of heavy lifting all day long. I hope I can get back a little sooner!!

You look amazing! That is one of the first things I kept saying to my husband....I cant wait to see the face I used to know. Keep it going girl!

I started my pre-op diet this week. My NUT has me on a 5 week pre-op, slowly coming off of carbs, caffine, and sugars, for 2 weeks. Third week start 1 protein shake for breakfast, then last 2 weeks are shakes for breakfast and lunch. I too work 12 hour shifts.....but so far so good!! Good luck!

Hello everyone! My surgery is also set for May 7th! Im so very excited! im sure I'm driving my husband and my daughter nuts talking about it all of the time! lol...Im 5' tall and need to lose about 75 lbs. I am a breast cancer survivor, and need to get my life back! I CANT WAIT!!!!
