I am a single mom of a beautiful little girl! I have struggled with my weight on and off since I was about 9 years old! Just before I got pregnant I got down to a 117 pounds! I was completely ecstatic finally below my goal weight phew! Then I found out I was pregnant! my weight sky rocketed! Back to being overweight, everyone told me not to worry about it, that I was young and it would come back off after my pregnancy! unfortunately it has not, I have just continued to gain weight! So depressing! I have been on every diet, I was working out 7 days a week doing 3 hours a night in the gym with no success! Now my daughter is 10 years old and I have decided that I want to get healthy for my daughter! I have to be around for her, so I I have been researching the GS for 2 years, originally I was going to do the lap band, but quickly changed my mind when I heard about the sleeve. I checked into surgery here in Alaska and quickly found there was no way I could afford it here, since I have no insurance and I am self pay, here in Alaska the cost was $65,000, and that was just the surgery none of the testing that needed to be done, or anesthesiologist, or hospital stay etc.
