The 5 day Pouch Test is a good place to start. Make an appointment to talk to your surgeon. Please remember, IT IS NEVER TO LATE TO START OVER!!!!! There is always hope. Be encouraged.

Yes, when I find that I am able to eat bigger portions and not feeling satisfied, I go on a full liquid diet for 2-3 days. I do this about every 8 weeks. It works for me.

I had the sx, but it is all about his diet - venting

I can understand your frustration. I don't think your partner thinks "it's all about him". He is just committed and excited about his journey. Have you told him how you are feeling?? Be honest with yourself. Are you following all the band rules?? If yes, don't worry about the slow weight loss because you are on the right track. If no, have a discussion with your surgeon and dietitian, visit a support group or ask your partner to help keep you accountable. You should be proud of your weight lost. I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to but I am grateful for every pound I did lose. Please don't compare your success to someone else's because it will only lead to frustration. Be encouraged! -
75 lbs is great. The one thing I have learned on my journey is to never compare my success to anybody else's. It's not about losing the weight fast, it's about losing safely and being healthy. My friend had Gastric Bypass and lost a ton of weight. But, she gained ALL of that weight back and stretched out her pouch. She tired to get it revised to the Lap band but her surgeon wasn't able to place the band. Lap band was the best decision for me. Congrats on your upcoming Banniversary!!!!!!

I was banded on 4/3/12. My largest weight was 291. Today, I weigh 227 for a total lost of 64 pounds. One of my coworkers told me last week "you look like a different person". I didn't think my looks change that much. I personally didn't see a big change. Well, yesterday that coworker bought in an old picture of me from our work picnic from 6/2011. I didn't take many photos of me back then so I don't have a lot for comparison. OMG, I was in total SHOCK!!!!! I looked like a totally different person. I really needed to see that. That really encouraged me. I don't ever ever ever what to be that size again. I am soooo happy with my decision to have the Lap band. It does work. You just gotta work the tool!!!!!

I have a protein shake with 1 or 2 scoops every morning. So I don't get bored, I switch up by adding different fruits.

Normal banded weight loss?
Lose100 replied to Hip2bFITT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is normal. You may not lose every weight every week. Have you checked your inches? -
Hello and welcome. You may want to start a new thread and ask your question. You probably get more responses to your question.

You look great!!! -
Any weight loss is a great accomplishment. Please don't rush it. Your body needs time to heal. You are on your way. I was feeling the some way 6 months post op. But I had to remember that I didn't gain the weight over night, so I can't expect to lose it overnight. Since all bodies are different, we lose weight differently. I had to stop comparing my weight lost to everyone else's lost. You had this surgery because you want to lose weight and you WILL. April 3 is my 1 year Banniversary. One thing the Lap band as taught me is PATIENCE. Hang in there, it does get better.

Did anyone have to pay additional fee?
Lose100 replied to rdm's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My insurance company paid 100%. The $750 was an additional surgeon fee that included 18 months of free unlimited access to the fitness center (that I don't even use because it's over a hour away). I didn't mind paying the extra fee because my surgeon is the best in my area. I am very pleased with my surgeon and his staff. -

would 0.3cc make THAT big of a difference? need advice
Lose100 replied to str1349's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Congrats on starting over. I know for me a fill of .5 makes a huge difference. But that is why it's called "adjustments". A little fill just may do the trick.
