  1. I am 12 wreks post op honestly its painful but not unbarable, I have ha a c section its equivilent to that. Pain meds dont work well with I got hydrocodone i wanna say it essentially did what a tylenol does for me nodda so for me it sucked but I promise as long as your RESTING ( being a mom myself i know how difficult that is) and sipping water and doing some walking youll be fine the first 4 days are the worst of it.

    Hey thanks and great job yeah usually on my off days of c25k i run the week befores interval just for fun. Great job and Ill def check that out!
  3. Your body is healing its normal 3 weeks out to stall just try and relax dont focus on the scale focuse on water and walking dont want clots now. When your ok for more vigorus excercise hit the gym treadmill is great and c25k program is awesome best o luck!

I dont do the guilt thig pften I am 13 weeks out since vsg down 68 pds I wok out 3-5 days a week and I run 3-4 of those days, I get a med hot choco from dunkin after the gym only I do 3/4 of ot steamed skim milk abd 1/4 hot choco I have this a couple times a month I dont do guilt i get in the water protien excercise and i only can do 600 cals max a day my sleeve is a very flexible stern lady. So I dont feel guilty that part o my life is over.
  5. Try switching things up do a 'clean day' eating only your protien no carbs no sugars, or a 'liquid day' that some times tricks your body. When I hit a stall a month ago I started c25k and I am down 15 pds this month alone. I only eat 600 cals at most get in 74 g protien and 100 oz of water it works for me some days I have a carby day where I make sure to have a ww tortilla or crackers just to trick my body. hope this helps Best of luck!

    For the Ladies

    Before surgery at 322 I was normal and my visitor was tolerable now The cramping is horendous I never used to bloat now I do and I am very sickly and fatigued the first 4 days. Its pretty annoying bc I am essentially curled in a ball with a heating pad and tylenol that week. Still I regret nothing, best choice ever.

Omg before surgery if I managed to throw my hair up and get in my work clothes I was happy now I get up EARLY to do my hair and make up I acessorize now and I try everythin tht fits me on multiple times before I feel comfortable. I care more about how I present myself and I feel better about myself in doing so. So strange but good.

  10. Best nsv ever i started at 322 now i am 258 since jan 29 2013, tried on dresses at old navy that FIT and were cute also tried skinny jeans on! Have NEVER fit in any old navy stuff before best nsv!
  11. Hey thats amazing this isnt a race or contest, thats awesome for 14 weeks. We didnt get fat over night hence we wont get skinny over night. Dont give up track your cals, get in the water and hit the gym or whatever. Giving up is not an option you did not have 85% of your stomach removed to give up! Put yourself up shake it off and get back in the game you can do it!

When I was sleeved jan 29 I was in so much pain so yeah in the hospital I was what the heck did I just do lol it was the pain meds clouding my judgement then about 4-5 weks later I hit a stall and I got so mad I was like but but but I am doing everything I am failure and all the self negative talk came in for about 5 minutes and I then proceeded to kick my own butt and said look your down 30 pds you aint going to the gym quit the complaining and get ur butt to a gym. I just transfered all the negative talk to self motivating talk and it works! I rock out the gym 3-5 days a week I run couch 2 5k 3 days and I make sure the eat right. I am down 63 pounds in 10 weeks! Rock it out!!!!
  13. Its is very possible depending on if you have changed your old habits and are getting the water in and excercise. I was 322 at my highest and today at 10 weeks post op I am 263! I go to the gym 3-5 days a week doing some toning and cardio and couch to 5 k. And I didnt do the gym til week 5, so you can! Be your own cheer leader and hold yourself accountable! Best of luck
  14. Had surgery jan 29 was 322 pre liquid 309 day of surgery today march 19 I am 278. I have had a stall the last 2 weeks yesterday I joined a gym and am getting my butt in gear

    what is this?

    Youre definetly eating too much I highly reccomend a food scale i can only eat 2.2 oz at one time and i am five weeks post op. i do three meals at 2 oz and two snacks at 1 oz each. I had the same problem when i got on mushies just eating too much and feeling like im having a heart attack just slow it down if u have a cellphone use the timer to make sure ur taking 10 minutes to each per oz. hope that helps best of luck
  16. I am a month post op from 322 to 280 and I had my first few nsv!!!!! I fit into pre pregnancy clothes and drum roll...............someone I hadnt seen in forever had to ask me if I was who they thought I was thats awesome I am unrecognizeable. It feels so good to be losing!!!!!

    OMG did I really used to eat that much?

    Omg I know how this feels, I was sleeved jan 29 so I am on soft foods now and I made my fiance a valenti es day dinner of a beautiful tossed salad with fresh veggies and a grilled steak (8oz) and I gave him a good sized portion of the salad he ate it said oh that was good ( 10 min of eating time) then proceeded to eat a huge bowl of chips! Im like omg that was me a month ago. I get sick sometimes watching him eat he chews like 3 times then shovels in more. Glad I am not alone.
  19. I am a mood swing person, i am almost 3 weeks post op and today is vday and i want a f-ing chocolate bar. That is my issue food and I think also I am struggling because I have a small child who constantly wants my little bit of food even though she just ate its severly distracting and aggrivating I just cry give up and hand it over. I hardly ever can have 20 min of quiet time to eat my meals and I think its really affecting my motivation. So I feel down a lot I have scheduled an appt with my counselor cause this is just way outta my legue I feel like im super crazy pms all damn day cry angry mad pissed happy crazy happy then crying wtf! I hope i can get over this issue.

    Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

    I had my surery jan 29 and im doing a walking dvd i would love to do couch to 5k but i live in upstate ny and theres about 3 feet of snow everywhere maybe in the spring and ill convince my SO todo it with me cause he ran in highschool.
