Printing off south beach type recipes...came across a spaghetti squash recipes. Has anyone had it since being banded? Does it go down okay?

I bet if you switched your breakfast to eggs and turkey sausage (something high protein) you'd be good to go. You're getting a good amount of protein but I intend to keep the carbs between 20-30. And a little more protein wouldn't hurt. Of course, the veterans might tell you...you are still healing right now...it isn't about weightloss it's about healing.

My stats...started preop on 3/30 with the intention of being banded on 4/12. The surgery was pushed back a week was actually banded on 4/19 (last Thursday). Anyway...weighed in at 234.4 the day I started preop (mind you I'm 4'11")...day of surgery was 217, today 5 days post op I'm 211.8...difference of 22.2 lbs from 3/30. Of course the last few lbs are probably muscle and I have zero energy...but hey I havent lost 22 lbs in forever. Hope to be in onederland in a bit...havent been there in probably about 7 years. -

A lapband Dr I didnt go with (Dr. Terry Simpson) told stories of how he will open someone open and close them right back up because their liver was too fatty. So absolutely it can happen.

Egg, Chicken, And Tuna Salad...good To Go For You?
Passionatehrt replied to Passionatehrt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Absolutely! And easy to make...I need fast foods to make. Didnt realize tuna had a lot of sodium...ill check out Trader Joe's but I wonder if the tuna packets are better with the sodium. -
Egg, Chicken, And Tuna Salad...good To Go For You?
Passionatehrt replied to Passionatehrt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yah...I like all of those salads but I want to stay full for a long time, make it easy, and not have a stuck episode. I thought maybe if I put a very very little amount of mayo and hummus in all of them they will slide less. I havent had a visit with a dietician yet so I cant wait to see what she says. Thanks for your reply. -

I love Pure Protein in Frosty Chocolate...the already made one in the car is okay but the powder one is really good. I make it on skim milk and I love it. Ive made it on water before and it was still pretty good. I get a shaker cup fill with 8 oz of milk put a scoop of powder and then lots of ice. It feels like Im not depriving myself, it tastes like chocolate milk.
