  1. Hi I've been post op for only 3 mos now. I have to say that it hasn't been easy, but I'm happy with how much weight i've been losing. I was 326, and now I'm down to 259. So I am making progress. Your post is very encouraging to me in my journey, and I hope I feel just as great as you sound when I reach my 13 mos.
  2. Before surgery I was 326 and I am now down to 275.I had been overwight to morbidly obese since childhood. Now I am finally going to be the woman I always wanted to be. The first four weeeks were the hardest. I am now eating solids, which is a whole new experience. I did find that I could still eat pretty much anything but just in small bites, and I get alot of gurgling in my stomach after meals. Drinking water on a regular basis is a challenge aside from drinking juice. I don't know why but water just doesn't seem to want to go down that easy for me. Thats going to take some getting used to. Anyway, I hear alot of post op's saying that they are not feeling 100% at the beginning, but I have to say that I feel great. I'm back at work and everyone has told me that I'm glowing. I am so glad that I made the decision to have vertical sleeve.
  3. Protein try to eat some protein as much as you can. At first I felt really weak but when when I made my boyfrient a grilled porkchop I took a small piece for myself. once I ate it within 15 minutes I had a surge of energy. I am walking about a mile a day sometimes half a mile and I have been using the shake weight for upper body tone, and it's great.
