I agree. That's extreme.

Please Dont Judge - Yes Or No Is Fine
LeaveItToSleever replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No, honey. No you can't. Nobody here would judge you for struggling. We're here to encourage you and be supportive of the behavioral changes you're trying to make. So that's my answer... no. I'm so sorry you're feeling down. -

How Many Calories/exercise Are You Getting?
LeaveItToSleever replied to LesKra's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Question About Incision Pain
LeaveItToSleever replied to luauna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 1 week out and feel no pain from sleeving, but the pain from my gallbladder removal is terrible! It's the only thing that hurts. -
What Do You Wish You Had Done Differently?
LeaveItToSleever replied to SleeveandRNYchica's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I hadn't bought pajamas and slippers. The hospital only allows hospital gowns in bariatric recovery and they provided the same slippers that I'd bought, so total waste of money. -
6 Days Post Op, Gallbladder And Vsg
LeaveItToSleever commented on MyBeautyTrumpSizeAtl's blog entry in MyBeautyTrumpSizeAtl's Blog
I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time. Did they give you anything for pain? I've been using Tylenol meltaways and they really help (I also had gallbladder out with sleeve, plus hiatal hernia repair, all at once). -
I Feel Like I Am Starving Myself...
LeaveItToSleever replied to lilly11781's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also 5 days out, and I know why you feel this way: because you ARE starving! Me too! I thought the hunger would go away. I am ravenous. Of course, eating is not possible, so that explains the dramatic weight loss. So here I am, slowly sipping yet another chocolate protein shake (boy doesn't that get old fast) and dreaming of a philly cheese steak sub. I've never been so hungry in my life. I'm trying to stay focused on why I'm doing this! -
3Rd Day Post-Op, Qs... Is This Normal?
LeaveItToSleever posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've haven't read about anyone else having these issues, so I need to know. 1. I'm 5 lbs heavier after surgery than I was before surgery. 2. My belly is extremely distended, and feels like a huge, soft marshmallow. 3. There is no skin sensation on my belly. My whole abdomen is totally numb. 4. I'm swallowing tons of air with each sip, and can't figure out how NOT to. The gas pain is excruciating. Gas-X has NO effect. I can't burp either! Is there something I can do to stop swallowing air? I can't stand this gas pain. -
So Many Complications, Can't Keep Anything Down.

I'm sorry you're having so many problems. No advice, just best wishes that this turns around for you soon. -
I Feel Guilty
LeaveItToSleever replied to kelliecalgary's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wouldn't feel guilty, and I most certainly would not offer any explanation for requesting a doggie bag. If I was asked "is everything okay?" I'd just say "wonderful, thanks!" and not go any further. If they pressed and said "you didn't eat much" or "you barely touched it" I'd just look at them and say something like "That's right, and now I'd like a doggie bag, thank you." End of story! -
So The Hubby Likes An Ample Rear, What If I Lose It All?
LeaveItToSleever replied to Mzluvee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm taking your question seriously. If you're curious what your husband will think / do, you have to ask him. If there's any chance that he wouldn't support his spouse having health improving and potentially life-saving surgery, that needs to be discussed, pronto. -
Why Are/were You Fat?
LeaveItToSleever replied to Gastricsleeve4me's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
As far as I'm concerned, unless there is an underlying thyroid condition (or similar), everybody has the same reason: taking in more calories than we burn. These poignant and heartbreaking stories explain part of WHY we did so. Nobody should feel guilty for not having an emotionally painful family history... you should feel lucky and blessed! But clearly, it's only part of a larger and more complex picture. -
Can You Buy Unjury Anywhere Else?
LeaveItToSleever replied to Shape_Shifter's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
They must be sold out. Sorry. I ordered from Unjury directly and received it in 2 days. I was so pleased; shame they don't take Amex. -

Amazon has it, but not the chicken flavor. -
Keeping It Secret
LeaveItToSleever replied to JourneyOfAFatKid's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm saying something like "I am on a very strict, doctor-supervised diet. My nutritionist says I can only have liquid meal replacement this week, then gradually reintroduce more foods. Thanks for being so supportive!" -
I go one day after you! Good luck.

Leaving For Surgery Tomorrow.
LeaveItToSleever replied to aaron1976's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think last minute cold feet are a very, very common phenom. I had my first 'almost panic attack' last night, and I still have more than 2 weeks to go. I feel panic when I think about what I won't be able to do anymore (or what I imagine I will have to give up). When I feel the apprehension and doubt, I just think about all the times I lost and regained, and how I have totally failed at controlling my portions. I know I need to do this for my health. Good luck Aaron. -

I hope you don't think I was being snarky or saying this is wacko, because I was not. I would never do that, I was making an analogy. SORRY to have offended you; it was not my intent.I won't comment again. -
