At my heaviest I was 335lbs. Not being able to tie my own shoes or put on my own socks was detrimental to my self being. Enough was enough. I tried yo-yo dieting, nothing was helping me. I still failed no matter what I tried. Coming from a back groundof playing soccer for 17 years, I was one tough cookie but the weight got to the point where I didn't want to exist anymore. I began binge drinking and emotional eating. It was a downward spiral for me and it began effecting those around me. I didn't care though as long as I was hurting myself, it didn't matter what was happening around me. Then I met my team of nurses and a doctor and there was a new found hope for me. Even though I struggled, he still ended up doing the surgery for me. Today I am oly a couple of weeks post op but I haven't felt this happy in years. I have faith again inside of me and a want to live for myself, my son and my husband. I hope that my success story over the next little journey will help you too.
